Has anyone used this milk or have any opinions about Oberweis vs organic milk?  I have been doing research on organic milk and I have to say I'm not thrilled about what I've found.  The cows are not necessarily treated or fed better just because they are hormone/antibiotic free.  Plus the milk is pasteurized differently (UHT) which kills more of the nutrients. Oberweis claims to treat their cows better than the mass organic producers, and their cows are still hormone-free and they claim the milk is antibiotic free as well, plus it isn't treated by UHT...but do I trust they are being honest?  I also have a source for raw milk from the place I get eggs... but honestly, I don't know if I think it's worth the risk especially for my youngest.  Plus I don't know how consistent the supply would be.

Wouldn't it be nice to trust the companies that produce food?  Does anyone have any knowledge about the different milk choices?

Oberweis is from my area.  I hate his politics but I love his milk.  It is fresh and in glass containers.  I know organic and raw is better, but there is an Oberweis dairy store just 5 minutes from my house and it tastes so good.  So hanging my head in shame, I have indulged in it and survived.

I think it's better than the run of the mill stuff.  We get it at our daycare and we had a gal that used to work for us.  If she drank just regular milk, it gave her terrible fits, but if she drank the milk Oberwies gave us, she didn't have a problem.  So.......  You make the call, but I think it has less stuff in it that is not good for you.

I can't say myself as I don't really drink milk.
