Well, despite some rather unpleasant detox symptoms in the last week (which I am gritting my teeth through!), I am seeing lots of positive changes too - and it is only the start of week 3! They are as follows:

1) Much less bloatedness
2) Clearer head
3) Better eyesight
4) Calmer sense of well being
5) No PMT symptoms
6) Less Hypoglycemic episodes
7) Less cellulite! ( I am only little - but the bit I had seems to be going - which must mean I am metabolizing better now!)
8) Weight loss ( Although - not quite so good for me as I didn't want to lose any - I am only 7 stone 12 at the best of times - now I have lost a couple more pounds! Will have to eat more!)

What I am hoping for:

1) To be able to eat fruit
2) Feel more energetic
3) Get pregnant! ( ttc 7 years now!)

Thanks for all your support recently everyone! This is a great forum.

Mrs G- You asked the question whether you should eat more, because you are losing a little weight, and don't need too.

I would suggest going over all your food and the portion size and amounts to be eaten and see if you are eating and drinking everything you are suppose to be, if not do so, as this will help.

If you are on a daily basis then please ask your question again, and someone with more knowledge will come back with suggestions.  Usually it balances out.

Thanks All

I am still a little nervous of eating certain things, even though they are on my ok list. There are some things I haven't eaten for so long, as I thought they were bothering me, that it is difficult to go back to them. I am waiting until these detox/allergy symptoms go and then I shall start to introduce them slowly.

Thanks

Mrs G...this is so wonderful!  I too have experienced many of the same improvements in a short period of time so know this is real!  Congrats!

Please don't add too many things back at once.  One item at a time and probably give that 2-3 weeks before you add another.  Some people can't tolerate some foods even on their list.  Totally normal.  We are individuals and as specific as the diet is...we are individuals.

To your pregnancy desires, I do believe if you are to get pregnant this is the way to go.  I myself do not want to get pregnant but desperately desired to regulate my system because it was going crazy and I felt terrible.  Breast pain, irregular cycles, moodiness, painful cycles...all of these things have improved greatly in less than 2 months and I have had moments where I really  messed up my diet.  I complained just last cycle how awful things were and now this time around I feel AMAZING!  Things were right on time, no pain and let's just say I can button my shirt!  Yay!  So if it is to be...this will absolutely make things work better.

Keep sharing your progress (even if you aren't a good girl we will still be there and love you...hee) and much luck to you!

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I have been searching a long time to find a way of eating that suits me - around 20 years to be precise. I am so happy that I finally feel like I am on the right track. I have always been praying that I found a solution to my health problems, before conceiving, so am hoping this is really going to help.

Glad to hear you to are seeing amazing results. This really is a revelation!

Going to find out my husband's blood type now too - hoping it will help with his headaches.

Anyway - just off now to get the ingredients for some Spelt pancakes for pancake day, aka Shrove Tuesday! Will have a few of those tonight - should help with the weight!

Best wishes

Elizabeth

It took me about 2 weeks to recognize any improvements.  Is that just a B thing, to be so out of touch with ones body?  Congrats!

Hi Elizabeth,

Headaches are triggered by toxins, and BTD is great for detoxing. It will definitely help your husband.

Cheers,
Yaman

I hope so - he has had headaches for as long as I have known him - 18 years now. They have become worse recently - so hoping this will help. He is keen to do it too - so that is good! Thanks

Welcome to the forums, Mrs. G.  I used to have migraines and they have definitely lessened.  I only get them occasionally now.

Mrs. G.
Wonderful results in a short time! Life has a way of helping us find just where we need to be when we want it bad enough. I am so glad you found us!

I was at my wits end wondering what my problem was before BTD. I thought I was doing everything right but couldn't figure out what was wrong. I wouldn't give up and knew there was an answer somewhere.

Eventually I found it and here I am!

I don't know about other B's who started the blood type diet.  Maybe it depends on what problems our bodies are struggling with.  I had chronic sinus infections for more than a decade.  The next day after cutting out daily tofu and switching to lamb instead, my sinuses opened up.  Other issues took a little longer to notice changes.  Many were subtle.

But with the Genotype diet, I felt an immediate shift.  I did feel quite uncomfortable for 3 months, with a lot of cleansing going on, along with some headaches.  When it lifted, I was 15 pounds lighter, and at least 8 ailments were "mysteriously" gone or greatly reduced.

Thanks to you all. I am keen for him to try this. He has had sinus problems for a while now and has got so used to the headaches that painkillers are popped liked sweets - which he thinks is normal now but clearly is not! Let's hope this helps.

Migraines...Yes, I used to get them regularly also.  Now just every so often and not as bad if I can get a handle on them right away.  This way of life has helped immensely with them.  Pin pointing mine down to more as a female thingy and a type of detox for my body.  Even with getting them under control (they usually last two days and then are gone) I end up with a red rash all over my face within the next week of them and then the skin on my face turns really dry and peels.

Once your hubby is on this way of eating he may have problems with the toxins in his body...especially from all the pills he has taken over the last 18 years.  It is a very interesting journey and well worth it.

Good luck and looking forward to hearing of your better health.

Debra :)

I knew I shouldn't have to pop pain killers/decongestants like candy, but couldn't find the answer(s), either...  By a chance meeting, I found someone who had found some answers and was willing to share information.  That contact led through another doctor's office to where someone told me about the BTD...  For me, the largest contributor to constant headaches was corn products, but other avoids were causing other issues.

Hello Mrs G!

It is good to see that so many issues are moving in a positive direction for you.

My wife and I have had to deal with infertility and used the help of an unusual organization, in Toronto.  We worked their fertility program for about two years each time before my wife conceived. She is now convinced that she will remain infertile unless she goes back on the fertility program.  That would be strong evidence if you knew her because she is a natural sceptic.  She has been resisting my encouragement to take up the Blood Type Diet, the Genotype Diet, and even the Swami program.

There is a clinic in London that provides the same fertility program.

Now, I know that going into London is a long slog.  My father has been living near Basingstoke for over twenty years, and I visit him there every so often.  You should consider all the advice that Dr. D' Adamo has made available, but I recommend looking at the fertility program as well.  It is not tens of thousands of pounds, and it works cooperatively with your body.

My wife and I met many other couples that conceived with the help of the fertility program, when we volunteered to provide our own story as a testimony for the clinic in Toronto.
