On my SWAMI, under "vegetable proteins", I have this information:

Portion Size: Nuts, Seeds: quarter cup; Nut Butters: 1 tablespoon
Frequency: 5 servings weekly.

Besides nuts and seeds, plenty of beans are also listed under vegetable proteins.  How large is one serving? 1 cup cooked? 1/2 cup cooked? 1/4 cup dry and then I need to figure out what the cooked volume is?

ruthiegirl...when I have a bean serving it is usually in a soup, chili or stew.  I have them mixed with veggies and sometimes with basmati rice or barley in a small bowl a bit bigger than the size of my fist.  I'd say about 1/2 cup cooked total.  When I reheat them...I pour them over veggies (about 1 1/2 cups) that I have cut up.  Satisfies me to the next meal and it makes me feel so good.

My SX said the same thing and I just assumed it was 1/2 cup too... I guess if it was less I didn't want to know! :D

I seem to remember from past discussions that it was supposed to be 1 cup cooked when it comes to beans.  If you do a search for beans you will probably find those discussions.  The Live Right book lists a bean serving as 1 cup dry, but common sense says that's WAY too many beans :o for a serving so the "dry" part must have been a typo.

IMO beans are seeds, although not all seeds are beans......if you get my drift....

So beans would  be 1/4 cup serving? Is that before or after cooking? Dried beans expand a LOT when cooked!

I just opened a can of beans, and according to the can label, 1/2 cup of cooked beans is a serving. In my mind, a can of beans is a serving, but I love beans and eat little animal/fish protein.

Yeah I eat more than whatever the serving is usually... although lentils are recommended for my intake of carbohydrates as well so I can do a lot of them anyways (on top of being a diamond).

Hmm, bearing in mind that SWAMI tailors your portion sizes to incorporate such things as weight loss or whatever it may be as well I doubt you'll be able to get a reliable answer on the forum.  What was your BTD serving size for beans?  And for the other vegetable proteins?  I'd use that as starting point and tailor as best you can based on deviations you have for nuts/seeds and nut butter from you BTD values?
