Previous to Swami, I was allowed apple cider vinegar on my BTD, so I used this and Stevia as a dressing almost all the time.

My new Swami recipe printout only has listed one salad dressing (Cherry 'Vinaigrette' Salad Dressing), as now all vinegar is an avoid.

So I have been looking for a good alternative to my "sweet and sour" old standby of apple cider vinegar and Stevia. I have a salad almost daily (with various veggies, fish protein, and allowed grains) so some low calorie recipe for a dressing that I can use all the time would be ideal.

Does anyone use or make a good Swami compliant dressing I can use?  I would appreciate your input on recipes, etc.

There is a thread on the GTD board that has a nice discussion of salad dressings. Might want to search for it or maybe an angel will help.  ;)

Olive oil.  Or lemon.  Or both together.  Or olive oil with some compliant herbs.  Or another kind of oil you can have and like.  Melted ghee.  Or just eat it plain.    ;D

I often just use olive oil and sea salt. Occasionally I drizzle a little lemon juice on salad along with the olive oil.

I use yogurt, sour cream, lemon, olive oil, etc for dressing. Limes are also good in dressings as an alternative to lemon. I sprinkle sea salt, turmeric, and curry to spice it up.

good one, that will work too, thanks Vicki ... yogurt and sour cream (dairy) are avoids for me. I like to save my fat and oil intake for stir-fry veggies and snacks consisting of pecans or walnuts if possible - about 27 to 30% of daily total.
