Just wanted to start a thread for my experience while starting my Swami diet! I'll post updates, menus, recipes, etc.  

My goals for food per day/week according to swami's small frequent portions:

Poultry: 3-5oz  (0/3 week)

Fish: 3-5oz (0/5 week)

Eggs: 1 egg (0/7 week)

Dairy: 4oz milk, 1-3oz cheese, .5T ghee (0/5 week)

Veg Protein: 1/4cup nuts, 1T nut butter (0/9 week)

Fats: 1T (0/5 week)

Carb: 1/4 cup or 1 slice (0/4 daily)

Live food: 1 cup (0/5 daily)

Fruit: .5cup or 1 med (0/4 daily)

Bevs 6-8oz (0/3 daily)

10/1/09 - DAY 1 food:

Poultry: 3 a week  (0/3 week)

Fish: 5 a week (1.5/5 week)

Eggs: 7 a week (1/7 week)

Dairy: 5 week (0/5 week)

Veg Protein: (2/9 week)

Fats: (1/5 week)

Carb (3/4 daily)

Live food: (5/5 daily)

Fruit (3/4 daily)

Bevs (1/3 daily)

BF: Rice and raw tuna

Post Workout: strawberries, rice protein, maca shake

lunch: tilapia, greens and avacado, two mini muffins (millet/flax/amaranth)

snack: green tea, salad, small apple, black bean brownie

dinner: stir fry veggies, walnuts, egg whites

Question for someone who knows: The Swami grain portions, are those for dry grains? Mine says 4 1/4 servings daily. I assume that is 1/4 cup uncooked rice?

as far as I know, servings refer to cooked grains and legumes.  that's how it was on gtd.  since many of us have 1/2 cup serving sizes, it makes sense that it means cooked.

oh and of course my swami clearly indicates under serving sizes:

"...in the case of brown rice pasta, Gumby gets way more." ;D

Doesn't yours say that????   ;D

Yeah, mine says "Brown Rice, eat until heart is desired".  hehehehhehehehe  Especially short grain.

GS just go into the main SWAMI Express forum and then click on NEW THREAD. (there's a yellow folder next to it)  Don't forget the title.  :)
