BTD Forums  /  Testimonials  /  Poppin' in to update my fellow BTDers

Greetings! from the BTDer formerly known as drive55.  I haven't felt much like participating in the forums for a while now, and lately I'm a bit too busy to do so.  But I do want to give y'all an update.

Since Little Fish got wiped out, I can't see when I last gave a "report", so I'll just go from memory the best I can.  After the withdrawal from school and the semester was over, I started working on what I could do to get back on my feet.  I can't remember everything I did, but things started turning around.  I stayed in Charlotte through July, making some improvements along the way, but I wasn't supporting myself.  Despite the improvements, I still felt like it would be best to return home to New Bern, even as little as I care for living there.

So I moved back home to my mom's house on August 1st.  It has been a mixed blessing.  My step-father has been something of a challenge and a serious stresser at times, but it's been good to be freed for a time from those worries about providing for myself.  I have been taking Lamictal, and experimenting with the dosage trying to get it right.  For a while I wasn't taking enough and suffered for it.  I got it right 4 weeks ago.  Then I got a job about 3 weeks ago.  At that point the biggest thing I needed was some confidence, and working a couple days and seeing that I could handle it gave me back that needed confidence.  I should also add that, in addition to the BTD, my B5, C, and licorice root have served well in helping my adrenals cope with the stress of work.

That's where I'm at right now, and I am considering the future (since this is hardly a job with a future).  TTYL! 8)

Thanks everybody!  There are too many things on my plate now to spend a lot of time here, but I will still be checking in periodically.  I guess I've finally gotten through the "honeymoon" from the BTD now, so I don't feel as zealous about it.  It's just my way of life now, and I'm benefiting from it, without the need to go to great extremes or to take great pains to avoid even the smallest amounts of offending foods.  I've mostly figured out what works for me and what doesn't, and I'm in it for the long haul.

Great! I like B5(pantothenic acid) also. I'm glad things are 'kicking in.' Sorry you have to deal with the relatives, but rent is so high nowadays. Maybe someday the right situation will happen. Maybe there will be such an interest in the BTD that jobs wil be created!! :)
Yay!!!!!
