BTD Forums  /  SWAMI Xpress  /    Do I have a history of low grade infections?

Hi  :)

The question that is the subject of this message makes a difference to whether I come out as having a reactive or receptive world view. (If I tick it I come out as receptive.)

I'm not too sure what a history of low grade infections might mean... I think I may have such a history, I have about four colds/flu a year, and a low grade systemic candida for example. On the other hand, I have considerable inflammation - frequent headaches and very sore breasts for a whole fortnight every month. So...if I put in yes to low grade infections, I get receptive and a much longer list of superfoods (particularly fruit and veg) and if I put no to low grade infections I get reactive, that seems to focus more on inflammation (and a shorter list of superfoods). Can anyone help me decide which one I should go with?

Many thanks! :)

Thanks Lola, good idea.

I've decided to start with the diet prepared for me when I tick "....history of low grade infections?" mainly because it is easier. It has much longer lists of super veggies and fruits. I'll see how I get on on that, and see what happens to the inflammation and take it from there.

Do ear infections count? I had them as a child but no longer. I also completely lost my sensitivity to smoking. I do not enjoy it but... I wonder if a kid I would of been an explorer but then turned into a warrior or teacher.

Checking these things changes my genotype.

I think it may refer to EBV, chronic fatigue, continuing sinisitis, H Pylori things of that nature that affect the whole body and last for a long time.

Candida is a low grade infection. As is wnything in my opinion is which you do not feel you are at 100%. Since I spent time in the Gulf (after the war), I have not been 100%. The closest I cam was bodybuilding a few years back. Close but not quite, still got knocked down a few times.
I did not know of a Mild CFS diagnosis until I saw it in the rheumatologist office last fall. But From what the Gyn specialist I am seeing says I have had candida for about 15 years. This would coincide with my trip to Saudi Arabia in 1994. Everything is falling in place now I just have to deal with it all and hope the flares will be less and less debilitating. The currently is a doozy, but we are making it. Thank good ness for Dr. Young (Gyn) and Dr. D. I ahve the best of both worlds helping me.
