When you take Pro biotics does eating garlic and ginger kill it?  I don't think it does, but I could be wrong and I eat it alot.  So I'm just wondering.   ???????????????????????????????

those might even enhance the action of probiotics, if in your
beneficial list, but never jeopardize their effect.

garlic and ginger kill all kind of bugs...meant here is they  show a fine and healthy behaviour as natural so called antibiotics... but ginger does a lot more it enhances gastric juices etc... and is a fine aid against vomating issues ;)... as well .. juhudihui..... :D

But ginger likewise curcumin are legère bloodthinners as well... don't overdoe here please ...(whistle)(goofy)ahem please tell me what I've forgotten to tell about those brilliant adaptogenes??) ;)... :X ;D ;D

Raw garlic is antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal. I don't think the same is true for ginger, and I'm not sure about cooked garlic. I know I've read to only use raw garlic when needing the antigerm qualities, but I'm not sure if cooked garlic is completely innefective or just weaker.

I'd treat raw garlic like any other antibiotic, and take it 2-3 hours before and/or after the probiotic. I wouldn't worry about small quantities of cooked garlic in foods.

What to think....  I know I feel real good when I eat ginger.  It helps me guts, but I'm worried I'm doing damage and not letting the probiotics grow.  

I have taken heavy amounts of probiotics for a long time.  Then about a month ago, I was getting die off real bad and needed to cut back.  I just didn't need it as much.  But now I need it again in larger doses.  So, I'm just trying to do the right thing.  But I have been eating garlic less as a whole and ginger more.  More so because I like the taste better and had ate a LOT of garlic in the past.  And ginger actually seems to help your breath and garlic, other people can't stand it.  And I can understand that.

I didn't know that ginger and turmeric were blood thinners?  Where did you get that info.

I started drinking ginger tea daily until it caused too high stomach acid!  

Garlic on the other hand really hurts my intestines.  Many years ago with stomach problems (noniness) the HFS recommended garlic capsules which I took daily till I was passing upper tract blood, also picked up in bowel cancer test.  After hospitalisation I was told the good news that I didn't have the big 3  -  chrones, cancer or ulcerative colitis.  All this led to a search for health.  Wheat was the problem but garlic was the icing on the cake!   :-/

In my cooking garlic is in homeopatic quantity, just a clove and not mashed or chopped, so I can use it without ptoblems and real bad breath.
