My recent blood test shows that my good cholesterol level has been raised, my bad cholesterol level has been reduced & my triglyceride level has been lowered.  This is proof positive that Dr. D's advice is sound.  I was well within the normal limits before I started the BTD/GTD but my levels are even better now. Thanks Dr. D.

I'm very impressed!

Imagine sharing your results with the pharmaceutical company that makes Lipitor! (a cholesterol lowering drug that leaves most people feeling brain dead....and the drug of choice if someone's
cholesterol is over 200)

In the hospital where I work we give Zocor, Lipitor, Vytorin  out like candy. If you don't come into the hospital on  one of these you will go out on it.
We don't even test the cholesterol levels prior to giving it.

Conversation between doctor and patient.. Patient asks," How about changing my diet to lower my cholesterol?"
Doctor, " Well, all you really need to do is take this pill, you can't really lower your cholesterol by changing your diet."
Patient accepts their fate and takes the pill.. :-/

Ok, I got my results tonight..They said everything was normal!  :)
Now this is non fasting. Total cholesterol 208 (ldl-122, hdl-57), Triglycerides-119, and blood sugar 88. Thyroid panel she said was normal. YES! No risk factors! I have to wait 3 months and I can have it done again. She said my insurance won't pay for a repeat this soon..so in 3 months I'll have a fasting cholesterol.

So sad Andrea what you wrote!  my cousin MD is not a BTD believer, but offers always a diet very low in animal fat, transfats and dairy, before putting patients on drugs. Many have good results and As most of all ! ( but don't explain this to him !) we know as for vit E and antiacid drugs, the results are blood specific.

Unfortunately, this is what most doctors are doing. If they're not surgeons and can't cut
something out, they write prescriptions.  As soon as blood work comes back, the parameters
for requiring drugs are automatically assessed.... and assessed by standards that keep
changing to insure there will be more drug sales...Drug reps who are basically drug pushers
hand out samples to doctors who pass on idiotic information to their patients.  How many people do you know who are truly drug deficient?

The drug ads on TV are laughable.  It takes longer to list side effects than the benefits of the
drug!

Last night my husband and I hear for the ten millionth time a TV commercial for a drug
that helps with ED...and then it lists the side effects which include loss of vision and hearing..
and warns the patient that if he's having a 4 hour erection to call his doctor immediately.

I ask you, if you've gone deaf and blind and are standing in the middle of the room with
a 4 hour erection, what exactly are you supposed to do to get help??  You can't see and
you can't hear....It's really NOT funny, but I have to laugh anyway!

LOL  LOL  LOL

I swear.....this is not a comedy show. It's a commercial to sell a drug.
