The six foods that are best for healthy vision are:

                Explorer      BT B non
Egg Yolks       dot          neutral
Brazil nuts     dot          neutral
Blueberries     dot          beneficial
Salmon             dot          neutral
Papaya             dot          beneficial
Broccoli     emphasize     beneficial

I have glaucoma, so I like to find things that are good for my eyes.  That is why I was so upset when NAP discontinued Occubright.  

I was a bad Explorer.  After 3 weeks staying away from dots I was back eating them.  There was no way I could handle 3 months without them.  So I didn稚 lose the 10 pounds I wanted to.  I知 still within my weight range.  I知 at the top of it rather than comfortably in the middle, but that痴 OK for now.

I really need the Swami to come up with a more individualized diet just for me, a Bexplorer.

Wonder what would happen if we invented the GenoBlood Diet?  ;D

I'm with you, both diets have their pros and cons.  I'm an O/Gatherer.  On the BTD chocolate and sugar were neutral, but black tea was avoid. :'(  On the Genotype chocolate is beneficial, as well as black tea.......but sugar is an avoid.  You see, sweet tea sucks without sugar.  So does chocolate.  I tried the Green Tea, and White Tea (was alright).  Now I can have my lovely black tea....with Stevia or Agave or Xylitol.  The Stevia just sucks :X, Agave isn't practical, and all Xylitol gives me digestive issues.    

On the Genoblood diet here's what it would look like for me.
Chocolate-Beneficial  Sugar-Neutral  Black Tea-Beneficial  
Ah......the best of both worlds. LOL!!!

I agree though, you have to find what works for you.

I think you can add sweet potato leaves to your list of foods for eye health.  They're very high in lutein, among other nutrients.  It's also a dot for explorers, unrated on BTD.

I have never seen sweet potato leaves in my whole life! :o  Where do you find those?  Do you grow your own?

As with ALL diets, you have to tweak them for yourself.  Hence SWAMI, but we can usually figure it out for ourselves by trial and error.  I've got my Gatherer diet tweaked & I'm loving it!

sweet potato leaves will undoubtedly go through the same process as beet greens......I remember whole foods in Miami 97, they d hand me over their beet greens for free!

down here at the market, I can get tons of beet greens still for free, cause those are thrown away!  

someone mentioned finding dried sweet potato leaves at Asian markets......you might try asking around.

Sweet potatoes are beneficial for B痴 on the BTD.  I sure hope they can do the Swami at the convention in TN.  I値l do it if they offer.

I took "consumer version" to mean general public.

If you get a sweet potato and suspend it by toothpicks in a glass, and fill the glass so part of the sweet potato is under water, it will sprout roots then leaves.  You can harvest them and gently saute with a little ghee and garlic, right from your kitchen windowsill.

cg, how is agave impractical? It is the best sweetener ever...can mix it into cold drinks, it merges immediately cuz its a liquid....taste is great....

oh my goodness Ribbit, I forgot all about this!! I used to do this just because I thought the leaves were so pretty. I'll get me a good organic one and start 'er up.  :)

Being a nonnie means that you really have to go very, very easy on the carbs, because they don't metabolize well in us.

Hi,  I am a teacher A secretor, bu my height has 5/6 inches less than attended for a genetic problem.
I am wondering if to go back to A sec BTD for the following reasons;
1 teacher cheeses let my nose nearly always inflamed
2 I am not able  to eat more than three or four eggs a week (at my best  I could reach 5)
3  tahin sesam butter, buffalo mozzarella and chicken are useful for me and easy to find on the market and eating out as spinach and a very good corn pasta that i want to enjoy at least once or twice weekly.
4 I ate already a lot of fish and I will try if I really tolerate mussels and scallops as Warriors as I like them and perhaps could have been a warrior, if my growth was regular.
5 My lipidic asset, my weight and my energy are very good on BTD A sec.
6 Soy yoghurt very pure with apple concentrate and lithotamnium calcareum is very convenient for me and I have never forgot ot avoided it.
7 I am still feeling the consequences of a cold  of 50 days ago,far more difficult to heal on GTD than  BTD ( it was 3 years since I had a worst cold  with otitis because of dairy and gluten together and I am celiac.
8 My gut is not in better shape on GTD Teacher.
9 My skin has also some dermatitis It was cleares on BTD, probably there is a link between 1, 8, 9
10 GTD is better for gourmet and I'll implement what is better for me, but BTD is easy to get ready in stressful times as these really are for me.

I am still choosing if to follow GTD Teacherm with BTD A cheeses, to try GTD warrior, but probably the easiest is BTD A sec.

I am intrigued by your story, and can't help wondering if you may still be a Warrior, as the skeletal measurements sort of got confused at an early point in your development.I hope you can work this out to your satisfaction. :)

I am a Bexplorer as well  and I surely needs to find a a mix between GTD and BTD as well.
The only reason why I wanted to try the GTD was  that it souded like a more advanced theory and that I still wanted to loose some weight- othervise my health was super on the B secretor dit.

I really had several problems with the explorer diet
( and there is no doubt I am one even with 10 kg over weight and no liver problems)
First of all I lost a HUGE amount of former bennies - even the dairy that makes me function so well.
I found it so hard to not have eggs ( * dot food) as well as the majority of my fruit was gone.

My blodsugar crashed every single day ( like prior to BTD) when I tried to follow the menues.
and I since so many of the diamond foods are impossible for me to find her in Denmark - my diet got really very boring and not varied enough.
I donエt do well on high  polysaturated fats/oils and lots of the superfood oils where that
I had an upset tummy all the weeks ( 2-3) when I tried to avoid dairy and only have ricotta etc.
My eczema flared up and I didnエt loose much weight.

Several of my former red flags avoids was suddenly superfood or just * dot foods
- made me really :o chicken, corn, tomatoes are NOT my friends no matter....

So now I am  :-/
I have gone back to the B sec diet that I loved and was so balanced for me
- I try to eat MORE of the superfoods/diamonds from the explorer list ( that is not hard)
when we speak of foods like ;):
Ghee, macadamia nut oil, peas, aspargus, artichokes, - spelt and rice, lettuce,  all the new berries( that are so traditional here) honey ( I am a beekeper after all ;D) etc and etc

I have stopped feeling guilty when I eat my perfectly good b bennies that are neutral or * dot on explorer - but I have cut down on regular milk  (and other avoids from the  Explorer list)
and I get my dairy mainly fermented
-  when I got yoghurt back again it just made me feel so good
I must be some kind of weird B explorer that needs her dairy  ::) to function
I have noticed that the  Bエs have actually been pretty difficult when it come to changing over to GTD  ( Looong talk under the  B group) - especially us that was put in the Explorer group ... I wonder if we are just hard to please or ?  :P

Hey HB,,,,,,,,,if BTD suits you better, so be it ya know.  :K) :K)  It sounds like you had alot of reasons to 'return home'.  You are the only one that knows what is best for you.
I have returned home as well.  GTD just didn't suit me either. To each his own.  :K)

Henriette,
  How long did you give the GTD a try? It does take a few months for the stomach to get used to different foods.. When I change my diet it takes 2-3 months for my stomach to adjust.

My husband wouldn't do the GTD.  I tried to change his cheeses and he quit eating cheese.  He said he wanted his old ones back, so I complied.  He's skinny enough as it is, though.  Don't feel like you have to change if it doesn't work for you.

Well I tried almost 100 % for 2 months
- added a few black dots for 1 month ( yoghurt and eggs- mainly)
and then gave up simply felt too tired, sad and uncomfortable
I am so healthy 99 % of the time on the B secretor diet, where I can eat food that is easy to get= a really varied diet - is pretty easy to do in a modern world ( I think Bエs are lucky )
my only problem is being moderately overweight- and surely some of that would get of me if I exercised more- and had less wine and spelt bread ;)

I just got too sad and freaked out over my food choises compaired to the way I love my B diet- it does not mean that I donエt use some of the knowledge from GTD:
I donエt do coffee anymore - I have cut down on black tea - I exercise more  - I have added all the sf/diamond foods that used to be neutrals.

reason enough to go back to BTD  IMHO.  there are enough things in life to be stressed about w/o adding food into the equation.  :'(  eating should be a pleasure and make us feel great........so good for you HB for listening to your body. And girl, I gotta say, you are really in tune w/ it!!  :)

You and me both! And I am a nomad (I think)  ;D which is not too far from the world of the B Secretor. I have adopted some of the GTD principles like increasing my mushroom intake(which I never liked much before) no cow's milk other than cream or half & half occasionally, very little goat's milk and trying the GTD cheeses (I notice more congestion with these so I need to re-evaluate). The main thing I have been trying is to stay as gluten-free as possible. But I think I need to shoot for low-gluten rather than no-gluten. I just cannot seem to keep on weight without some spelt products. And I have blood sugar probs when I stick to rice/millet as the only grain. Quinoa also affects my blood sugar negatively. But I also tested as the BTD being a better choice for me.

So I agree... I think B's do better on a varied diet than one with lots of restrictions. Maybe we are hard to please too...  ;D


And I still say that chocolate is a super-diamond food!  ;D ;D

I did not do well on the GTD either, my backpain flared up and got really bad.
I am back to BTD, but have added some foods which are said to be avoids on the BTD, but I have no side-effects and feel good when I eat them (e.g. buckwheat).
