I tried high quality fish oil a 2nd time and got real sick from it - GI symptoms and Candida growth. No more of that stuff for me and I don't dare to try Black Currant Seed oil either. I'll get my Omegas from ground Flaxseed, avocado, olive oil, ghee, and sardines. I can't leave out coconut oil either, as I've used plenty of it in the last 7 years and I think it's done me good.

Sunday I ate 8 mangoes and they tasted real good. I thought I was just in the mood for them but it was actually Candida calling to be fed (because of the fish oil I took). Later that day I got a bad headache and was starting to feel a tad grumpy, and I said something to a couple of people online that wasn't very cool (but I quickly went back and edited the 2 posts), and my ex boss saw it (of course) and that drives him crazy. Now he's been telling people to tell me Good Luck and trying to scare the c**p out of me as if I'm unaware of the way I've acted or something. He eats junk foods and cannot understand how anyone could have health problems like me. I think he thinks I imagine them.

Wow Joe, sorry to hear you're feeling poopy!! Hope you'll be (sunny) very soon. So Omega3 caused you to feel like this? bothered your candida? Now..........this makes me wonder, even tho I'm not a nonnie, if that could be bothering me. I don't take the O3 all the time, but have been doing so more lately and I've been sick for over a week. Hmmmmmmmmmm, something to ponder. Feel better!!  :)

Sorry to hear that.  I hope things turn around for you.  I actually take fish oil too per my doctor.  I muscle tested for it and it was something I needed.  It doesn't seem to feed my candida but, first off, I'm not sure if I'd know for sure if it was.  And also, I'm taking Dr.D's Pylora and intrinsa which I think both can kill the candida in your gut.  Along with his Polyflora.  If you haven't tried any of these, I highly recommend it.  My Doctor was impressed with the quality and it seemed to rate very high for me when muscle tested for it.

May I ask who is recommending these supplements for you?  I am blessed to be going to an MD right now that believes in Homeopathic, natural remedies and this BTD to help heal.  And will prescribe medicines in accute cases.  He sat me down with all my supplements and you know what, about half the stuff I was taking, I shouldn't have been.  I was taking a multi that was not so good for me, even though it had lots of good stuff in it, etc etc.  The only things I was taking that I should've been were Cod Liver oil and the supplements I told you about from Dr.D.  Along with Nitricycle.  Then my doctor added some things that my body said it needed.  He will adjust after looking at all the tests he did on me.  But my point is, when I first went to him, he told me to just quit taking all my supplements, except for the cod liver oil for 3 whole days.  I was almost in shock like I didn't think I was going to make it.  But you know what, I did fine those three days and it drove a point home that even though I had good intentioned people and myself figuring out things I should be taking, some of it was just wrong for me and it probably wasn't helping me.  I would highly suggest trying to find someone that can sit down with you and all your supplements and if they have the ability to muscle test you with everything there, it would be worth it's weight in gold.  In my opinion.  If you are being led by someone like this that I describe, then forget everything I just said.  I mean no disrespect.  I'm just trying to help.  I could be all wet too, and my perspective is just that.  MY PERSPECTIVE for me.  It could be all wrong for you, but I think there may be some wisdom in there hopefully.

I pray you feel better.  As I do for all of us.

Many of us non-secretors have experienced so much suffering that others have not understood.  We have very sensitive systems and are more susceptible to imbalances.  That's a fact.

And most of the world are secretors.

Hi all,

So Omega3 caused you to feel like this? bothered your candida?

Yes, I'm sure it did. This was the last time I'll ever take fish oil again - and this was with highest quality, purified, molecularly distilled Nordic Naturals that cost me $22.45 for an 8 oz bottle. :)

I knew I had dysbiosis for years but I seldom had Candida problems with it because I eat whole foods. I've gotten better on BTD but I found out for fact that fish oil is not for my O NS body. :)

I know it's an avoid for O nons, I'm not sure about secretor. If I had checked the database or book first I wouldn't have had this problem.

Sorry to hear that.  I hope things turn around for you.

Thank you. They will, and I'm gradually healing. It's going to take a while. I take Larch and Polyflora O, and I eat 100% BTD compliant. :)

May I ask who is recommending these supplements for you?

A lady holistic MD that ordered a Genova NutrEval test for me. It was found that I'm deficient in (but this was just before I became BTD compliant again 3 weeks ago) Mg, Molybdenum, B6, Folate, Omega 3, and Delta-5/6 Desaturase enzymes.

I feel that I'll probably improve the Omega 3 levels with BTD. I do take P5P (Pro B6), Mg (plus I'm getting Mg infusions - "Meyer's Cocktails" once a week now for 4 weeks), and other things.

I'm very careful about what I take. The big problem I had was the fish oil. From now on I'll get my fatty acids from foods. Fresh ground flaxseed seems like it will be a good thing for me now that I take P5P. It softens the skin on my face. I was low in ALA and GLA. I know flax has ALA in it. :)

I would highly suggest trying to find someone that can sit down with you and all your supplements and if they have the ability to muscle test you with everything there

Thank you for the idea but I've spent a lot on doctors lately and various tests (some of which I could've done without I'm sure) and I'd like to take a "doctor vacation" for a while and see what BTD can do, and I'm sure it will probably help a lot. :)

Thank you! This is a very nice forum. I always liked interacting with the BTDers. We all are very devoted to our health here and I feel this place is truly where I belong.

People that eat organic avoids and think they're doing their body good just don't get it.  ;)

Joe, you might have had too much vitamin A to process at once from the fish oil and mangoes combined.  (But those mangoes are good, aren't they?)

PS - I believe this is very true. I've often wondered why I seem to have more problems than most people, and this is probably why.

And with my ex boss watching over me like a hawk and punishing me for anything he can't understand, it seems very unfair to me to have to double my healing time. I may be one of the only nons he knows, or one of the few. I pay for my mistakes (fish oil being one example) and have to endure physical symptoms, and when I've started to recover and heal from that, my boss orders inhalants to be put into my house that will make me sick some more. He's been doing it for over 15 years. I'm hoping it will not continue. I've made some big changes and improvements in my life and health and I've spent quite a lot of money in the process. Now it's time for me to see if I can function as a somewhat normal human being.

We have to take a long hard look at the supps we take. I'm even wondering if ground flaxseed is OK for me. Walnuts are also high in ALA and they may be a better thing for me, or in addition to FS.
For years I made coconut oil the main fat in my diet and it helped in various ways (it's neutral for type O NS - avoid for all others). There are people that recommend nothing but butter and coconut oil for fats. I tend to think BTD is what we ought to go by as far as fats and anything else.

I'm not like the typical O. I have a history of low HCL [stomach acid] output. I actually take HCL before meals. :)

They sure are! I have 5 on my refrigerator right now, and about 2 of them are nice and ripe. I plan to eat one in the early AM on Thursday or Friday. If not, I'll peel them and slice them up and freeze them for next week.
I used to make "ice cream" out of frozen pineapple, banana, or mango, with yogurt added, and whizzed in my food processor. It sure was good but I used to over-eat it sometimes, which was not a great idea.

Once in a great while I have to back off fruit for 2 or 3 days, and then I'm OK with it.

That's right, we both have tests and Genova.  I forgot about that.  It sounds like you're on the right track and I know how you feel about taking a Dr. Vacations.  I wish I could take a vacation from my health problems so I can go on a doctor vacation too.  But they seem to keep stacking up.  My kidneys are my latest thing. (I have several stones since last year and they "flare" up, like now.)  Anyways, my guts seem to be doing better after following the diet.  And I'm thankful that this aspect seems to be going very well.  Hopefully that will have an impact on the rest of my body.  It sounds like that's your plan too and that's a good plan.

Joe, I think I need some clarification about this boss of yours.  This is very confusing.  How can he/she "order inhalants to be put into [your] house"?

Work has been the area of my life that has been the most challenging for me also.  When you're sick and performing poorly, that's stressful enough, but to also be a sensitive, self-conscious nonnie, that only makes it worse.  And the last thing you feel like doing is going out to find a new job, because the shock of such a change might be too much to deal with, even if the new job is an improvement over the old one!

Well, he has but it doesn't happen as often these days as it used to (because of improvements I've made in myself : BTD, etc.). If you've never met a person like him in your life, you may be lucky. If that's the case, give me the benefit of the doubt - I'm not imagining it any more than I am the problems I'm more prone to have as an O Nonnie. :)

I know what you mean about jobs. I'd love a job to get me out of the house and into the outside world more often but I hate to think of being judged by people and possibly put down or rejected. The thought of it makes me tend to want to stay home and increase my online sales and leave it at that. :)

My business is very slow the last few weeks. I think it's the economy's fault.

Joe, what is this deal about inhalants? I'm really curious about this too? Please....?

My ex boss is a smart man and has power and knows how to access inhalants that can make people sick. He's done it to me 100s of times and probably lots of other undeserving people.

When I lived upstairs from my mother in an apartment over her house, he wanted me to move out and live on my own (which I think was a good idea). To get me to do so, he had my Mother put allergic inhalants into my home that gave me severe reactions (I didn't think that was a good idea). They literally drove me out of there. When he wants something he won't ask me in person, he will do what needs to be done in order to get it done, and so be it if it causes someone to suffer in the process.

Since then, seeing that I'm a nonnie, he has watched me like a hawk, everything I say, do, and everywhere I go. He will read, this, I'd bet on it, but that's OK. If I do/say something that he thinks is wrong, he has my neighbors put inhalant into my house that causes symptoms. (How they do this is beyond me but I'm unable to put a stop to it - but I don't worry about it much any more because nowadays I don't get into trouble as much I once did). He did it just the other night. I had a bad day due to fresh ground flaxseed meal 3x daily I'd been taking for a week or two (I can't tolerate that either, at least not after getting sick from fish oil), and had to stop that too. It was kind of hot that day and I was feeling tired and grumpy later in the day while out on the road and I overreacted. I was feeling a little fed up with always seeing someone in my rear view mirror tailgating my car. People here in TN seem more impatient than people were in my part of NH. It seems like there's almost always someone right on my butt, wanting me to drive a little faster. I think it's rude and kind of annoying. It's also against the law. :)
