Sorry - I am really disapointed at the list of Live Foods for Hunters. I usually eat a large salad at lunchtime made up of Iceburg Lettuce, Red Onion, Radishes, Yellow or Red peppers and sometimes celery. Evening meal is usually Broccolli and Carrots with Meat or Fish.

Now I find that only broccoli is recomended for an evening meal and that wont fill me up - it is like drinking it after being steamed and I need the crunch! Sweet potoatoes and parsnips have been limited in the past as they cause weight gain too easily. Kale tastes dreadful - takes hours to become tender and non of the other stuff listed can be obtained in England!

Most of my favourite veggies have a black dot beside them - does this mean being out of bounds? or can they  be limited - I would really miss my lunchtime salads - radishes are not even mentioned.

I would appreciate any comments from others who have thought the same or any ideas to \make the situation any better. :'(

Speedy, foods not listed are neutrals. May I suggest romaine, escarole or chicory instead of iceberg? There is nothing wrong with your peppers and the onion is a superfood.

That is just a start, I would suggest you reexamine the lists with a more open bent. Black dots can be reintroduced after a few months, in limited amounts.

Thanks Lloyd for the advice - haven't found  escarole or  chicory to buy here but will keep trying romaine takes a bit of getting used to but I intend to try! slipped a bit tonight and had trout with broccoli, carrots and sweet potato - it was yummy!!

Well today I have bought some Romaine Lettuce and some Chicory so we might be back on track again! I do feel the changeover will take some time - little steps and tenasity is needed. Now do we wait until all the previous O type foods have been finished and then start the six months being strict? or do we just do what we can some compliant some not and all depends also on the size of your purse and where you live. I feel that I will now check my genotype more carefully to make sure of my Hunter type - it is difficult as I have a very thin angular top half to my body and a very rounded and chubbier bottam half - a real pear shape! also my blood has to be treated as O positive when giving a transfusion but if I need one back I need only rhesus negative as it lacks the D antigen - weird or what! i feel like I am two types stuck together!

It's not a superfood... where did you hear that?  Since it's not listed, it's definitely a neutral.

If you find the taste of Kale too strong, you can make a dressing using lemon, olive oil(or flax) and some natural salt. I only eat it very lightly steamed, not raw. It just needs about 15-30 seconds of steam.
Rutabaga makes good fries. Usually after cutting them up I'll put them in a big pot with a lid, and a bit of water in the bottom of the pot. When they are fairly soft, I turn down the heat to med-low and add olive oil, cooking until there is no water left. Garnish with paprika.

If a food is not mentioned, consider it a neutral. Kale can be cooked less if you give it a short spin in your processor after cooking a while. It also tastes better to me. The lemon/olive oil dressing sounds good to me too. I will try that even though I enjoy the taste of kale as is. My daughter-in-law just found out she is a Hunter, so we are getting used to this new diet for her. My son is a Teacher so we are really a mixed up bunch.
