I just did an hour on this show. I think it was very good. The podcast should be up in an hour or so..

I think it is great that you are getting some positive publicity.

Dr D, will your interview with Dr Oz be available on line after it airs too?  I am hoping so!  ;D  Thanks for this link.

I've just started listening. :) So far it's a great overview of things. :)

Now I know the correct way to say 'D'Adamo.' :)

I absorbed the logic.  Soon I'll be able to say it myself ;)
Great Job!

I still have dial-up.  I'll have to go to the library Tuesday and get on a public computer.

Thanks for posting that, Dr. D!

Ok, I listened, and it was great. More people should hear this, he makes the information so understandable. (In our lazy society where people won't read!)

OMG this should be an awesome interview!! I was just talking to someone about Dr Oz the other day. While I know Dr Oz doesn't have 'all the facts straight' about diet, I do love the fact that he is on Oprah getting the message out about how our bodies function and the things that go w/ it. NOW...........it will be a GREAT day when we see DR D on Oprah!!!  ;D

I'm simply speechless.  Utterly gob-smacked.

D'Adamo is, in my estimation, smarter than all the MD's out there, rolled up into one.  The only way to actually keep him down is for them to do precisely what they're doing now:  Conveniently forget to mention his diet in diet surveys and, oh yeah, bold-facedly lie.

Dr. D needs to have another book published, where he just literally talks about his philosophy of life, philosophy of science, everything... He is so much more fascinating, even, than just his diets.

I like him best when he just cuts loose, and starts talking like a regular, fast-thinking guy from Brooklyn.  The Brooklyn accent alone is so filled with personality and gutsiness... It always kind of sounds like a Warner Brothers' character.  It's very engaging and disarming to listen to... it's refreshingly non-pretentious.

I think he ought to capitalize on his guy-next-door, rough-around-the-edges dimension.  It makes him a unique personality in an alienated age that hungers for that; I think an outstanding marketing angle for him, would be for him to market his true, gutsy, brainy, and quirky personality as a product-within-the-product of the BTD and the GTD... let him be as much of an item of interest and fascination as his diet itself.  He doesn't come across as well to me when he tries to be "Mister Proper", like in some of the earlier videos.

Well, I think it's a strength... definitely.  The public spirit loves nothing more than someone who sounds like a guy from the neighborhood, but who it turns out is a thousand times more brilliant than all the stuffed shirts in the world.  I honestly think the "stoic norm" isn't where it's at.

You have a helluva personality and sense of humor when you just let it out... It will sell your diet and books better than just about anything else.

I absolutely adore the full portfolio of NY accents out there.  My mom and her entire side of the family are from NYC and perhaps that is why I have such an affinity for New Yorkers in general and for New York accents.  I agree, Ron, that there is something very warm, down-to-earth and guileless about NY accents.  NY and British accents have me at "Hello".

I heard Dr. D. on a grainy cassette tape of a radio interview once and he as well as the interviewers were all NYers.  At one point, someone breathlessly interrupted the on-air proceedings to inform the others that "The Mets just won!"  *LOL*!  Priceless.

PT,

Yeah, I think it has a near-universal appeal.

My folks are from the NYC area, too, and I grew up hearing the NY accents of comedians. I got in trouble when I started imitating them, tho. I noticed the Long Island accent sounds almost exactly like the Rhode Island one.
Another vote for endless amusement via NY and New England accents. :)
