BTD Forums  /  The GenoType Diet  /  Genotype percentages?
Posted by: Mrs T O+, Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 3:53pm
Are there any statistics on the %ages of each blood type in each genotype & then what %ages of each genotype for each blood type? I did find that each blood type does not fit into all genotypes. I think Os can only be 3 of them, the ones I thought I might be, altho each one is opposite of me in some areas & like me in others.
I am soooo looking forward to the book.

Gatherers: Around 25%
Teachers: About 15%
Explorers: About 15%
Warriors: About 15-20%
Nomads: About 5-10%

Until you know they have starter supplements.

I have not been able to figure out the ingredients of the supplements in the packs (for the dirfferent genotypes or the multivitamin and multimineral tablets (for all genotypes) sold outside the packs.

It makes it easier to know that not every type is a possibility for every category.

Now for the other way:
Os: __%Hunters __%Gatherers __%Explorers

As: __% etc........??????????????????????????????

The more I read about the Geneotype the less I understand. I am beginning to think the book may more confuse me then the various threads I have been watching so far. My book (if I can understand it) should be showing up around Jan 1. Understand I have a high IQ but am totally defeated by word problems. I am beginning to think this is gonna be one big word problem :(

Really if Sam has 3 apples and Suzzy has 4 pears and Joe has .... you get the problem. All I see is a fruit basket and they can all just duke it out if they can not share.

If anything the GTD may disappoint folks who are expecting a whole big technical tome. It is a very chatty and simple read. Perhaps in another book I will get to the nuts and bolts of the whole thing, but you may be very surprised just how clear and simple the GTD book is.

I keep reading in the various genotype threads that certain blood types can only be certain genotypes.  Can somebody fill me in?  The only one that is obvious to me is that As are not hunters. ;D  But I know they can be Warriors, since DrD is one.  I am trying to narrow down my guess as to what I am before my book comes just by going on the descriptions.   :)  So which ones are a possibility for each type?  I can't seem to put my finger on the info...can somebody point the way?

Thanks!

The Hunter
Tall and athletic, with a square jaw, Hunters are energetic and intense. They often suffer from allergies, asthma, or rheumatoid arthritis. Blood type O.

The Gatherer
Sweet-natured, emotional, and natural problem solvers, Gatherers tend to have a high BMI. They struggle with appetite regulation and crash dieting. Blood type O or B.

The Teacher
Sinewy and flexible, with a square jaw, Teachers are naturally exuberant with a calm outlook. They are vulnerable to bacterial infections. Blood type A or occasionally AB.

The Explorer
Muscular, adventurous, and often accident-prone, Explorers are smart and visually oriented. They're sensitive to caffeine, fragrances, and medications. Any blood type.

The Warrior
Charismatic and quick-witted, Warriors flush when nervous and have a hard time relaxing. They're beautiful in youth, but age early and steadily. Blood type A or AB.

The Nomad
Very tall or short, often with red hair or green eyes, Nomads are quiet, witty, optimistic, and rational. They have sensitive digestive tracts. Blood type B or AB.

Or to put it another way the options are:

Type O - Hunter, Gatherer, Explorer
Type A - Teacher, Warrier, Explorer
Type B - Nomad, Gatherer, Explorer
Type AB - Nomad, Warrier, Teacher, Explorer

so for now I'm guessing gatherer, I'm short, but have kinda long legs per torso....(a touch of hunter?)

I am guessing that since Explorers are best described as muscular, that they probably have leg and torso measurements that are proportional.

I know I know. Let me pay off my Christmas bills and get my car taken care off. It needs new tires and those are gonna be an arm and a leg!!
Even though I am not not muscular and am majorly full figured I am almost certain I am an Explorer. My other choice is gatherer and I just don't think that is me.Explorer feels right.

What's up w/ Tirerack?
Do we hunt with new tires on the car, gather up stuff to transport to the teacher. Do we explore new places, fight off old enemies w/ the warrior in the back seat, or just roam around like a nomad to counteract cabin fever?
I'm getting excited about this book, thinking I may be an explorer, altho I am very verbal/auditory & not visual.
I'm a lefty, cannot tolerate caffiene altho most of my family members could/can to some degree. In my older age, I am very sensitive to perfumes(are there more synthetics in them now?).
However, I think I am pretty symmetrical(nobody is perfectly symetrical. Well, by the new year I should be devouring the book & hoping to know what foods to devour more!!

I have the book coming I just need money for the secretor test.

Another question.....
How much do the genotypes have to do with personality & compatibility with other genotypes????
I would suspect some from the descriptions, but not a lot.
Am I right??

I'm a A nonnie do I have to know if I'm an A1 or A2? Is everyone one or the other or are some of us just plain A's?

Also noticed one can sign up for the new diet. But we need to know our type first to really benifit. Right?

A's will be either A1 or A2. Just knowing you are an A nonnie is good enough for the GTD at this point in time.

The web site claims to include a calculator to help you determine your genotype if you do not know it already.

The GenoType Diet online program will give you all the tools you need (including the exclusive GenoType Calculator) to determine your GenoType.

I have not enrolled yet, because I am still debating whether I can afford it ($260 each year). I also do not need weight loss services which is what the site primarily claims to provide.

Posted by: Vicki, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, 5:43am; Reply: 46
Ah, but the Genotype Diet is not primarily a weight loss diet :-)

Even if the website promotes themselves to the world that way, doesn't mean that will be the focus for you.

I think I'll do the initial membership to check it out and then decide to continue from there.  I definitely want to select the correct genotype instead of spending time on the wrong one by accident :-)

I wouldn't mind trying it for about 5 or 6 weeks , whatever the initial segment is....

I dont know whether this question has been answered before and I'm sure it will be in the book itself...but how were the names coined and assigned to the blood types?

Type A's as Warriors is so contrary to what I have observed of the A's I have met so far. All of them have the temperment of either Teachers & Gatherers, at the most Explorers. The O's appear more suited for the Warrior-just by definition of the word "warrior".

My thinking is also influenced by the traditional Hindu Varna system where people are classified according to their abilities:Warriors,Teachers, Traders and the Maintenance Crew. The classification was designed such that there was work for everyone and everyone played an important role is nation building.

All that has changed and the practice has taken a totally unacceptable formula...but that's discussion for another thread!

Please enlighten me, all those good and fortunate people who already have their GTD books with them.

Thanks!

One thing I remember from the book is that hunters had nothing, nothing to defend.  Type A's had agriculture and needed to defend their property.

Dr D named the types.  I've not read them all, but about teachers one of his comments is that the teacher type "carries an impressive wisdom of the body".  Of course I remembered that LOL!

Do we have any stats on how each type is distributed in each genotype?
For example: Since explorers have all the types, are there 45% Os, 40% As, 10% Bs, & 5% ABs.(I doubt - see later in post.)
For Nomads, are there 2/3 Bs & 1/3 ABs, the same ratio as the population?
Maybe the stats aren't in yet. But that would make a nice study. For hunters, it's easy.  Since 15% of the total population is hunters, which is 1/3 of all Os, then the other GTs must be different.
Cheers,

B - __% gatherers __% nomads __% explorers

AB - __% Teachers __% warriors __% nomads __% explorers
