Before the BTD, I would always eat a lot of grains and would always have constipation and nothing I did ever seemed to help.  I was a little hesitant about eating red meat because I thought that might aggravate the problem. What I found was quite the opposite. Eating red meat actually regulated me as long as I mixed it up with some bene fruits and vegetables and over the months of eating red meat 1-2 times a day now, I also found increased energy and I also sleep better.  My cholesterol test came back low when I thought for sure that all this red meat would’ve shot it thru the roof.  I used to have anxiety problems which have dwindled away.  I'm still not 100% compliant, but I definitely feel the difference.  I try to stay away from the avoids. Some were easy to avoid milk bloats the hell out of me, but my coffee in the morning is a little tougher to give up…although too much coffee tears my stomach up as well. :-/

Hi spettro!

Nice testimonial. How long have you been on the diet now? It sounds like you are getting the hang of it, keep up the good work. Coffee can be tough, there are a few good threads on coffee in the forum....have a look! A link to one of them.

Thanks for the welcome.  I've been on the BTD for about 6 months now.  I've known about the BTD for about a year know but didn't move on it because I was skeptical....after all you have to admit, there are a lot of fads out there.  My biggest problem was my anxiety.  I was physically shaking many times and nobody could figure it out.  All blood tests came back OK.  Doctors even tried to put me on anti-depressants, which I refused. Deep down I knew something else was going on but couldn't quite figure it out...then I read somewhere on the Internet about someone with a similar problem and got better by eating certain foods, I don't think it was the BTD though.  Anyway, it convinced me to try the BTD.  After about a month I my anxiety attacks virtually came to screeching halt.  As strange as it seems, I'm beginning to believe that O's (or at least I do) require a diet high in saturated fat.  I feel great and my cholesterol levels remain low and I'm gaining more muscle mass. :)
