As a long-time mother I would do it differently if I could just start all over again.  First of all, I would have a darn good homeopath for a family practitioner.  Then, the vaccinations I would consider for the children would be only smallpox and the dead virus polio shots.

They still have the smallpox vaccine???
I have 4 children 13, 11 , 5 and 2 . My first two ( Girls) I vaccinated at 4 ( partially) and used Thuya a homeopathic remedy to boost immune system right before I did it. Both my boys I chose not to vaccinate at all. They by far have been more healthy than my girls. I gin=ve them elderberry daily to boost their own immune system.

I would vaccinate my kids differently than I did
- like wating with the Mumps /rubella etc to they were older...maybe split the vaccination to seperate injections so they didnt get the full cocktail

I would only get the flu vaccinaton IF I had problems with my lungs etc...

Emma is waiting as long as possible with the new "girl" vaccine against cancer
- THey really have to prove me that it is safe - they havnt yet !!!
So shell have to  wait to have sex...;-)

If I was going to the Tropics etc... surely I would have some of the vaccinations- Im not going to play around with lifetreatening diseeases.

seems there is a difference in ABO types......

and here s why according to Dr D

I have written about how it seems to me that children who are type B appear to have more extreme reactions to childhood vaccinations, but hindsight in this case would be 20/20 and it would be insensitive and outrageous to state categorically that this was the result of the child being blood type B. However, I will now redouble my efforts in this direction, and indeed if there is some link, hopefully we can elucidate it, and then get the word out. It is the least we can do.

worth pondering indeed....

In a conversation I had last week with a young mother of an almost one year old boy she said that her doctor told her it was ok if she did not want to give her son his shots.  And when it came time for them to go overseas in their missionary service the only one she said to think about getting was the polio one.
I am not sure where I stand on the topic as I have not read up on it too much but I for sure would do that before making my decision.

Read up on the vaccine. It only covers certain high risk HPV's. It does not cover them all. Granted the ones it covers are the ones most associated with a high grade cervical lesion but it does not cover them all. There also has been some controversy over the effects of the vaccine. I would do a lot of reading and make those girls wait a long time to have any intimate relationships LOL like we can stop them.

Lisalea, I'm not certain what you're asking about.  I would look to the homeopath to keep the immune system built up so that diseases could be coped with in that manner.  My emphasis would be on eating foods according to blood type and classical homeopathy.

Lisa, is this for you or for children or for someone else?  What age, blood type, disease history, etc?  Are you planning travel to another country?  If so, which country?

Lisalea, it was a pock injection, in France you've had to go for them as a child as well. I remember we've been about 12 years old when we have gotten the order to go for those vaccines :-/  we've been 5 children to go for...after 6 weeks we've been 4 !!!  But we've all had biiig problems with that vaccination :o :-/......but she was the smallest and didn't took it well at all :-/......

Maybe hepatitis and something against yellow fever...
BUT it depends on situation

Emma - type O-secretor-did not react to any of the first injections she had as a baby mainly tetanus, MMR, diphtheria and sugar with polio...
But last year she had the 3d and last injection against MMR - she really reacted bad... so Im glad she is finished.

The only vaccination I have had lately is tetanus...
Im messing too much with soil
- and I cut my finger really deep and it was 15 years since I had one.

I do plan to travel probably to Cuba or perhaps Barbados; however, I would like to travel to other places such as Africa, India ...etc ... one day hopefully and wanted to start to inform myself about vaccinations beforehand :)
Thank-u  ;D

Another thing, I hear all of the time how easy it is to contract Hepatitis A or B (apparently they're serious liver diseases)  when travelling :-/ ::) hence that's scary as well ... sigh ... very confusing on what to do  ??)

Lisalea, I have come to the conclusion over the years that anything we can do to enhance the immune system without injecting foreign matter into one's system is the way to go.  Eat Right 4 Your Type was not known to me years ago.  I had never heard of classical homeopathy years ago.  Both these things would have strengthened our family's immune systems and disease could have been dealt with in a way that is acceptable to me and where the immune system could put up a very good fight.

I chose smallpox and polio shots because they really scare me.  Probably both could be fought off working in conjunction with the homeopath but I have this fear when it comes to these two diseases.

I would never be able to prove this but a using a mother's sixth sense I would say two of my three children have been affected by vaccination.  One child was hyperactive and impulsive, which was a change from his very young days.  Another child turned out to be hypoglycemic which we didn't discover until he was 12 and we had been agonizing for years.  Also, he had to go into special ed classes because of a form of dyslexia.  The one child with impulsivity problems has learned how to cope and is doing well with good insight into his psyche.  The one with dyslexia has benefited with good teaching and has overcome this drawback extremely well.  It was not an easy road for him.

It just does not make sense to me to inject foreign matter into babies and children that gives unnatural immunity that may not even last and to disregard building up the child's own immune system.  A Shot in the Dark by Harris Coulter and Barbara Loe Fisher is one book to read for a start to begin understanding what vaccinations do to some children.  We live in a nation where each individual is regarded with dignity so I just cannot go along with the premise that what is good for many but not for all is a good thing to do.  The ends do not justify the means.

I hope this begins to answer your inquiry.(think)

Lisalea...you can get *overvaccinated* as well ;) ;D ;D.....

NHG good point...yep... I agree .....(smarty)(clap)(dance) would also merely go for the antioxidants and also adaptogens, than vaccinations.......:-/......
