BTD Forums  /  Testimonials  /  O diet for about 7 months

Hello! this forum is new to me, but I've been following the O diet for about 7 months. After going to see an ND, who by the way did NOT advise this diet, I have struck out on my own, realizing that numerous food allergies are completely consistent with those foods restricted on the ) diet. I am now rid of migraines, lethargy, yawning, stomach cramps, and diarrhea, and do I ever feel great! I've also lost 25 lb. and feel very enrgetic. I'm hooked for life.  I'm finding it hard to eat in restaurants, and sometimes at friends houses, since "cheating" isn't an option for me, unless I really want to pay for it.

Thanks for listening! It's great to have others to talk to about this, since a lot of people really don't clue in to this.

Welcome Tish,  I am fairly new also and am really enjoying having others to talk to.  I think we have all endured the strange looks and comments from those who don't understand this diet, so don't let it discourage you.  We're here for you.

Hello tish...welcome to the forum and the BTD way of life.  That is so great of you to venture out into trying this on your own.  That is what most of us do in the beginning...alot of people can't believe that eating the right foods will help with wellness.  Nice to know that alot of your ailments cleared right up.  Yes...eating in restaurants can be a challenge.  You can usually get around the menu pretty good unless it is a highly processed one.

Great place to find out things on this forum.  Drop in anytime.

Debra :) (a fellow Canadian)

Lola thanks for the info about the profile information. However, I don't know if I'm a secretor or nonsecretpr. and what does MN mean?  All the acronyms are confusing. I've read the ER$YT religiously, but not Dr. D's other books, at least not yet anyway.

I'm not one to take pills, unless I am really motivated.

' And, I have eaten steak and eggs for breakfast in a restaurant, but this seems very decadent for me, and makes be feel almost guilty, having been a vegetarian for many years.

Hello Debra+ from Kikland Lake. I was there once!

Tish...

Welcome! I'm fairly new to this too. I've learned after only a few conversations to just do what I'm doing alone If others notice a difference and ask, I'll gladly tell them. That way, when I do, they can't get angry with me and accuse me of trying to change their lifestyles.  ;)

I agree, it is refreshing to come here with like-minded people.
