Hi.  I was just wondering if drinking lemon water in the morning would be as beneficial sweetened with Stevia?  I tried it yesterday, and it was almost as good as lemonade!  Thanks for any responses.... :)

cant see why it would hurt. just pay attn to whether you have any new symptoms since starting the stevia. :-)

I drink it this way everyday!  Plus they have a lemon flavored stevia and it makes it even better!

There is not a problem adding stevia to the lemon water as long as there are no additional avoids in your stevia sweetener.

Barley malt syrup and blackstrap molasses are other sweetener options that are beneficial for blood type A secretors.

I add blackstrap molasses to my lemon water every morning. Much more beneficial for us than stevia.  ;)

Hi Istreat, out of curiousity: how much molasses do you add?

:)

Hi Itita, I add 1 tablespoon of molasses with 1/2  fresh lemon juice and 8-10 oz of hot water. I drink this on my way to work in the morning instead of coffee.  ;)

Thank you for all the responses.  I'm glad the sweet does not erase the value of the lemon!

Which brings up another thought:  I am to be tested for Parasites/Candida, etc.  Does Stevia have the same response in the body as sugar/molasses/honey?  A candida diet seems to frown on all sugar; does that include Stevia?  :(

This is an interesting, beneficial concoction you created.  It sounds like a nice alternative for a 'coffee' substitute in the morning.

I would imagine that the blackstrap molasses adds a nice rich flavor and depth to the warm lemon water.

Yes it's a very nice taste Alia. I think it may be an aquired taste to some. I don't finish the whole thing because when I get to the office I just keep adding hot water to my travel mug, the taste gets milder and milder until it's just plain water. It's very nice, I enjoy it.  :)

Istreat- what your drinking is one glass of the master cleanse drink for diabetics, who are on insulin and trying to wean off of it.  Glad you enjoy it.
