.

I was recently diagnosed with this stomach infection and just completed a two week treatment prescribed by my Dr. at the Veterans Admin. consisting of various doses of...metronidazole, omeprazole and Bismuth subsalicylilate.

Wondered if anyone has any experience, knowledge about this situation and its connection to BTD protocals etc. and the nature of the treatment I've been doing? thanks in advance for any info..

Robert

(.fyi ..I previously had to take Ranitidine to deal with stomach acidity ...at present I am about 80 to 90% BTD compliant)

::) :o :o :o Röbbi do you produce to much of acidity orrrr too less??) ;)

please go for the antibacterial protocol, stomach health protocol, cancer prevention protocol

antibacterial protocol for A's :
oregon grape 250-500mg's, 1-2 capsules daily
old man's beard tincture 7-10 drops in warm water just before meals
Baptista tinctoralis (homeopathic rem.) 3-5 pellets, daily away from foods

stomach health protocol for A's:
old means beard...as mentioned above ;)
gentian tincture 5 drops in warm water just before meals
natrium carbonicum 6c (homeop. cell salt) 2-3 tablets between meals

cancer prevention protocol for A's:

Quercetin 500mg's 1 capsule 2x daily
Maitake extract 500mg's 2-3 capsules 2-3x daily
Curcumin 3-500mg's 1 capsule 1-2x daily
Tarragon 100mg's daily

omG..Röbbi a lot to slurp ;) :D....

The normal treatment recommended by Dr. Michael Murray is:
the bismuth subcitrat against acidity, then DGL. a fiber rich diet, aloe vera juice, flavonoids500mg's 3x daily, zink 20-30 mg's per day.
Then Michael recommends some l'glutamine, I wouldn't do so as bein an A, cause it might elevate your cortisol levels :-/.... ......

fresh cabbage juice, Vit.A 5000IU per day,Vit. C 500mg's 3x daily, Vit. E 100IU 3xdaily.

that's it, my dear friend.....until the proof of more ;) ;D.... I wish you all the best
biiiig hugs, truly yours Isa

wow..thanks for all the info Isa. re your question, I think I produce too much acid. Since I have just today, taken the last of the treatment meds that I mentioned previously, I think I'll wait a few days, stay on strict BTD, without any Ranitidine of course and see if my acid stomach is still happening. If it is I may do some of the Protocals you mentioned. That's if I can find and afford them.

Thanks again for your input, I appreciate it.

warm regards, Robert

:D thanx KK :D....for the help...I didn't remember that we could just pop in all those protocols::) my stupid brain :-/.....
Daniela it is really worth to go for the protocols, they are working amazingly,
@ Röbbi, take care, if I remember well this bloody Ranitidine is an acidkiller...isn't it ??) a protozoenpump inhibitor.... and mostly of em they are made also with lecker no-no's like toxic metals ....hmmm would prefere to go for DGL...easier, surer, better and it works ;) :D dito the bismuth is a fine thing just to go against this bug hp ::)

nighty-night :K)

The bismuth is given to coat the stomach and make it inhospitable to the attachment of the H.Pylori bacterium. If they can't attach they won't be hanging around long! :)

P.S. As an young A nonsecretor I had many 'mysterious' abdominal pains that were nearly always curable with Bismuth (aka Pepto Bismol). Incredible stuff.
