Hi everybody!

Yesterday I got info on a Swiss product called V-Pure Omega 3, vegetarian EPA-DHA supplement,  manufactured by Water 4 Investment, Zug in Switzerland.

V-pure Omega 3 EPA & DHA is derived from algae, the source of these essential long-chain fatty acids. Oily fish are rich in source of Omega-3 EPA and DHA, but this is due to their diet of algae. V-pure alga is organically grown in controlled conditions, is free from toxins and contaminates and is the purest and most natural form of Omega-3 EPA & DHA.
Algae is one of the oldest food sources on the planet, used by the Aztecs and Chinese for its prophylactic properties. V-pure is suitable as part of vegetarian and vegan diet and does not contribute to the world's diminishing of fish stocks.
Water4 believe in organic, sustainable health products that are good for you and good for the environment.

So far the info on the bottle.
My info source tells me that this product is a novel food and subject to new supps legislation.. But this algae is food, as the Colostrum is..., so why Legislation??

The company is busy getting this awesome product on the market..
This source of EPA&DHA can be taken by all bloodtypes!!
I got a sample bottle and have started taking it. Info states that the conversion into EPA&DHA of V-pure in the body is easier and much higher than linseedoil...
The product is not available for therapists yet.. One can get 3 bottles (max..) by ordering on the website http://www.water4.net by consumers only..

At last a form of EPA&DHA to be taken by O's as well!!  ;D

If anyone can provide more info I would be very grateful!!  ;D

Thanks gals!!  I was just thinking yest that I wanted to find a source that was from something other than anchovies and sardines. I was actually going to start a thread re: same.  ;)

Rhoda Maria, why did you mention " At last a form of EPA&DHA to be taken by O's as well!!  "   Unless that is just to include O nonnies, then I get it.  ;D

Because fish oil supplements are not recommended for type Os - eating fish is preferable.  I think this was in LR4YT...

Aside from the potato capsules :-) I'm wondering how we can make sure that any algae product that we use is good for us.  Klamath Lake Blue-Green Algae is an example.  It is loaded with amazing nutrients, but is not recommended for any blood type by Dr. D. as far as I know.  If I'm mistaken, please disregard my ponderings.  :-)
