I threw this together after my yoga class and some shopping at Wild Oats.
the Kale looked so fresh and good and the cranberry turkey sausage was also a treat for me to try.
I first placed a sheet of parchment paper down, added chopped greens, EVOO and seasonings. I then chopped the sausage in to pieces after I boiled them for a few minutes to make sure they were going to be cooked completely. While the sausage was boiling I sautéed some mushrooms in EVOO and when they were almost done I tossed in a hand full of dried cranberries, blueberries and whatever else was in my dried fruit container. this all went on top of my greens of kale and bock Choy and parsley and chopped red bellpepper.
The dried fruit looked so good I tossed another handful in top for good measure, more of my herb mixture fresh ground on top and in the toaster oven it went.
Baked it for a few minutes to wilt down the greens and brown the sausage.. Since I bought some Spelt tortilla's I warmed a couple of them and spooned some of the mixture in them for a quick dinner.
Good thing is was a quick easy dinner cuz I was totally burned out after my class.

Rodney...I'm just asking this question 'cause I have have a theory problem with turkey.

When I read about people eating 'turkey bacon'....how do they produce rashers of bacon from a turkey? Or perhaps it's not presented in the way I think it is??
Now for 'turkey sausages'....do all parts of the turkey end up in this product...like beef and pork suppliers would use??

Just asking....thanks.

I try and buy the best quality product avaliable and then not think about it Janet.
If I ate a lot of the stuff I would be wanting to find out for sure and then probably not want to eat any thing any more.... :-/ :X :-/
as healty as are dogs are I have told DW we should be just eating what they do... it would sure be simpler wouldn't it... :o

OK Janet!!
you got me thinking about the sausage so I called wild Oat and ask them about the turkey.
they buy from http://www.diestelturkey.com/our_turkey_why.htm this is a link to the bird :)
so it dose sound like good food but I still wouldn't make a habit of eating them a lot. but for this AB I doesn't have a lot of choices for meat.
I just can't get around the smell of some of the lamb I have eaten :X

FYI...  The bell pepper is avoid for ABs...  It sounds good and was one of my favorites before BTD, but I have noticed some ill effects if I eat them now...

opps??~~) I thougth they were netural dang it I just couldn't pass them up in the store they looked so good and only .50 cents each..
I don't seem to have any problem eating them but haven't had any for a long time

Rodney, yes it's a problem for As too...as far as I'm concerned...we only have chicken and turkey but sometimes I take a little lamb...pretending that I'm a nonnie :D
Re the turkey, it wasn't so much the source, as the parts used...hard to get to the bottom of that!! (no pun intended)

Lola,,, where is here the difference between those fruits, ok I know bellbeppers are bigger  and  out of a different family, I thought that just capsicum wasn't ok for us...tooo sharp ??) ..hmmm I think have to reread LR4YT ::) :B :X

Mostly I am having fun with a new Camera I am trying out its a SLR Olympus... nice camera ;D

I've heard, but dont know how true it is, that it's best to avoid the wings and necks if not using organic meats, as this is where they inject the hormones, etc.  :(
