Did I read (or dream) that there is a herb or food ..... that acts as a natural antihistamine?

My right eyelid is getting better. (some kind of allergy or cleanse or perhaps a bite  reaction) I feel fine - not sick and I'm sure there is no infection. I'm tempted to take an antihistamine for the itch, but I'm so off drugs - I hate to give in.
any ideas?

If you can get your hands on some of Nature's Sunshine Products EW capsules.  You can make a tea with 1 capsule and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of distilled or reverse osmosis water by opening a capsule and adding it to boiled water (not in the microwave), cover and steep for about 20 minutes.  Pour through a white coffee filter then allow to cool to room temp.  Place a soaked cotton ball over the affected eye or drop 1-2 drops into the eye.  This is a fabulous feeling, healing tea for pink eye, allergies, styes, after working outside, etc.

If indeed it was a bite homeopathic Apis (under the tongue) or possibly apis followed by Ledum might be in order.

Also, Quercetin is top notch as a natural antihistamine.  And licorice and nettle.

My eye is getting better. The itching (probably caused by the swelling) was getting to me.

After my question I remembered to take Nettle, Echinacia, & Vit C.  Forgot all about Quercetin. I'll take  some with a cup of dandelion tea.

Wrote all your suggestions down. I'm still inclined to think it's some sort of cleanse from all my years of sinusites. I remember reading years ago that the body backtracks when healing. Last problem heals first and so on.

Thank you all. I really appreciate your help.
