I love the BTD, but I've got too much energy now!!!! I feel like I'm on crack all day!!! Hard to get to sleep, but sleep well and wake up fresh and alert. I've tried chamomile and valerian teas, to get to bed and to calm me down during the day, with some success but I guess I need to know what the heck is going on. Feel like I might go postal if I don't address it. HELP!!!!  :o

Perhaps you may want to try adding some alternate nostril breathing or yoga to 'calm' you down.

Camomile tea before bedtime is a good measure, as well.

I can vouch for the alternate nostril breathing calming me down.  It works very well! It helped to calm my anxieties down, also.  I know what it is like having to much energy.  When I started on this way of life 10 years ago I got sudden burst of energy at 11:00 at night!  Hey!  I'm supposed to be sleeping!  I got up and baked bread and cleaned house.  At that time I welcomed the energy for I had gone 30 at that time feeling sick and tired all the time.

take  B12 in the morning http://www.4yourtype.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NP008. A's have a tough time absorbing b12 which is responsible for melatonin synthesis which contributes to mellowing you down before bed time

I'm a type A with moderate to high stress levels.  Can someone explain how to properly perform alternate nostril breathing?

Have you always been up at 11:00 at night? Just curious  ;)

Btw.

Any pranayama (breathing exercises) is best done on an empty stomach. Just as other forms of exercises.

Hey Indapen.

Anytime your health gets boosted or you realise new perspectives in your life, you should hopefully take it as an opportunity to grow and expand, rather than being scared off and start fighting it too much.

The art is to find out what to do with your new energy, how to absorb it. Not to 'put a lid on'.

Just a good advice

No, I am sound of sleep by then. I like to get to sleep by 9:30 PM.   So that's why I thought it odd for me to be fully awake and full of energy.

Most likely why you were all of a sudden wide awake is, if you are still awake at that time, your adrenals are kicking in for their 2nd shift. Not a good thing.  :-/

Thank you for the recommendations on the B12 Meth.  Had no idea it should be taken in the morning.  I have been taking mine in the afternoon and having a hard time falling to sleep . I have so much energy,  an very little hunger or tiredness, the symptons  of  eating wrong have vanished, since I started BTD.  I am a B nonnie, and just thought the B12 would help with some other issues I had.  Nostril breathing here I come!! Though I do love not being tired all the time.  I also enjoy everyones comments. MaryLee

Just wanted to mention MoDon advises against the B12 if you amalgam fillings. If you search for one or the other, you might find the thread or maybe he'll pop in. :-)

I will have to remember to have my B12 in the morning also.  I sure do need some good sleep, myself.

Amalgam dental fillings are the metal fillings. They are over 50% mercury.

Read this post if you have mercury metal fillings: http://www.dadamo.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?,b=encloplib,v=display,m=1167170022,s=7,highlight=B12#num7
