I am still trying to figure out my body and am slowly starting to get a handle on my IBS. Which includes figuring out what my body wants and when it wants it. I want to make sure I am on the right track and if any one else has similar experiences. If I dont have an allowed meat for my type (like turkey, chicken, lamb, ostrich), at least once a day I find that I have looser crampier stools. And I have to go 3 or 4 times a day instead of 1 or 2 times a day. Especially when I try to use beans and other sources of vegetable protean through out the whole day. I have had to pretty much eleminate soy from my diet except for the occasional miso soup. Having eggs seems to help a little but it is the lack of meat through out a day or two that seems to mess me up. My whole family including my boyfriend are doing the blood type too and they are all secretors. When I explained that scientists now are questioning the fact that blood type genotypes may not be dominant (A,B) versis resessive (O), and that your true blood type may depend on the placement of the blood type genes on your DNA and their expression in the body, my family agreed that my recessive O gene must be having more influence over my dominant A gene. Since I have some more O like tendencies except beef still constipates me. I hope that this will be discussed in much more depth in Dadamo's new book but have any of you experienced this too? And should I be eating more meat and limiting the beans that Dadamo suggests I should still be eating more of instead of animal protean? Oh and sorry for such a long post.

eat your compliant meat by all means and gradually add the beans if at all necessary.

Have you considered getting your A subtype tested?

The digestive system of A non-secretors are more adept to digest the allowed meats in the meat food list; however, I would pay attention to portion/frequency recommendations and perhaps start in the low range for portions if you have digestive challenges.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have thought about getting my subtypes tested and would love too but I dont have the money for that right now. I figure I will get my subtypes tested within the next 3 to 5 years. I will check out the portion frequencies again and will still try to have a couple of meals with beans each week.

Remember the beneficial fishes which are super excellent for A non-secretors.
