How do you take flaxseed for fiber supplementation?  Do you put the seeds in water and let them soak overnight or do you grind them up?  What is the best method for ginding them?

a coffee grinder will do....
some have 2 tbsp in warm water before bed....I like to sprinkle ground linseed in my daily salad.

or add to smoothies.

You can do it either way. The results may be different for both ways and therefore I suggest you try both ways to see what works for you.

I usually grind a heaping tbsp of flaxseed in a coffee grinder in the morning and let it soak in room temperature water for a few minutes.

However, for variety occasionally I will soak whole flaxseed in water overnight and eat it in the morning before breakfast.

If you use whole flaxseed you will probably not digest the seeds and therefore you will miss out on the nutrients. That is one reason to at least occasionally use ground flaxseed so that you can get the benefits of the various nutrients, such as omega-3 essential fatty acids and lignans.

Designate a coffee grinder or spice grinder to grind flaxseeds.

In the past I've used a small Braun multi-purpose mixer to grind flaxseeds.

Even in the Aging book flaxseed is still neutral for type O non-secretors.

I grinded a few cups worth of flaxseeds today.  I was wondering if kept in a container in the fridge, will it go bad after a certain time frame.  I didn't think to ask before grinding the whole package of flaxseed.

Yes, it does go rancid after a time. I do not know the time thou.

There is a prestigious German brand of organic food products that sells grounded seeds (bags of 1/2 kilo)  so I guess if you keep them in the fridge in a container as you mentioned and consume them regularly (do not let them linger in the fridge) you may be able to get away with this badge.

I consume mine grounded with a mashed banana and other fruits, nuts, and carob powder as breakfast or snack.

I grind them in a designated coffee grider prior to each use and let them soak at least 10 minutes in room temp water.

They go rancid pretty quickly, so the freezer is the better way.  
The best is to grind fresh what you will use that day.

It should be fine in the refrigerator or freezer, preferably stored in a dark or opaque container to keep out light or stored in glass.  

Very large quantities would probably be best kept in the freezer.
