BTD Forums  /  Supp Right For Your Type  /  Pork is bad for all--what about collagen from pork

Hihi

I just discovered this Blood Type Diet recently.

And to my surprise, learnt that pork is bad news for everyone irregardless of your blood type.

I have just bought one year's supply of this product called Fancl Tense Up Ex. It is supposed to "boost synthesis of collagen" in our skin. That is like hundreds of dollars.

http://www.fancl.com.sg/beautysupplements.asp

if you click on the product Fancl Tense Up Ex, you can find out more about it.

But the problem is i also found out that it contains collagen derived from Pig's Skin.

Is this bad for me as well? Are derivative products from pigs bad for us too?

A list of its ingredients are HTC Collagen (from pigs), coenzyme Q10, vitamin C and E, ceraminde, blue-berried honeysuckle and hyaluronic acid.

Please advise.

Thanks!

duchess-welcome to the forum and the BTD way of life.  If you want to know about PORK...go to the home page and on the left click on 'Search the Site'  and type in PORK and you will find all kinds of information about why you shouldn't eat pork.  And...sorry...you must not eat all that pork that is sitting in your freezer.  :(      And...there are many much better and safer ways of getting the list of supplements you listed. ;)
