Hello,
My husband is type B and he is also anemic.....
is there anyone else here with this combination?

Since he has been on the BTD, we have seen positive change in his health and energy levels etc....

He has only however learnt that he has been anemic all his life....

do you all have any advice or tips for us?

Welcome to the BTD Forums.

If you click the Member Center button at the top of this page, then click Avatar Settings on the left side of the new page you will be taken to a page where you can select a blood type avatar.  Having a blood type avatar is an easy way to share your blood type with other forum readers so that they can respond to you in a blood type appropriate way.

You can add information below your avatar setting, such as Rh+/-, A1 or A2, MN blood typing information or whatever else you want to, by going to the Profile Information section in the Member Center and typing in the Personal Message box.

You can also create a Signature of any other information you want to share that will go at the bottom of every message you post.

I also encourage you to indicate your gender, age, and location in the world in the Member Center Personal Information section, Signature, or Personal Message box once again so that other members will be able to better respond to you.

Your husband may want to consider getting his secretor status tested to make sure that he is following the correct version of the BTD for his type and therefore getting all the benefits.

You can start with the Secretor info and links in the Tutorial.

Does your husband have any other health problems?

Apple, Are you also type B as your blood type avatar indicates or were you trying to indicate your husband's blood type B with your choice of avatar?

Apple, I recommend that you change your blood type avatar to represent your blood type then put a note about your husband's blood type under your avatar or in your signature. This will help avoid confusing people that are responding to you about your blood type vs. your husband's blood type.

Hi Apple, and welcome to the BTD Forum!!  :-)  This is a good place to share ideas and suggestions, and I feel quite sure you will soon begin to get some communication from others, as we all emerge from the holiday zone!  :-)

Don's suggestions are good ones for getting yourself set up in such a way that people can clearly respond to you.  Under your blood type shield, where I show my location and Don shows that he is Rh-, you could put your husband's blood type.  That would be easy for people to spot.

I am type B, with my own various health challenges.  The foundation from which to begin is for him to begin following the diet for his blood type.  A lifetime of eating avoids is the same as a lifetime of eating subtle poisons, and we all have developed some type of warnings from our bodies by the time we are in mid life.  A good book to work with is LR4YT.  It is very comprehensive and easy to follow.

I agree that he should get his secretor status tested.  It's important especially for those who have already shown signs of a potentially problematic condition.

Stick around and keep posting.
