I am a newbie to the BTD and have been a veggie for 15 years. Even if some animal products are bennies ( eggs, fish) I cannot bring myself to consider going back to the dark side. I have been on BTD for a week and am getting bored already. I am also a new cook! Any suggestions of new foods I should try? Other than tofu, tempeh, and lentils? These have been staples for a long time. ANy suggestions are much appreciated!

just want to point out the different combos you can use to create a complete protein:
Legumes + seeds
Legumes + nuts
Legumes + dairy
Grains + legumes
Grains + dairy

There are a LOT of ex-vegetarians on the Forum!  :-)  I followed that route for close to 25 years, and nearly did myself in.  **lol** !! :-)

Do you eat Dairy?  If so, there are several good options there:
mozzarella
chevrie
kefir
yogurt
cottage cheese
ricotta
and then on down to all the neutral cheeses which is a big assortment

Fresh soybeans (edamame, steamed and eaten with sea salt)

peanuts and peanut butter
walnuts
most other nuts are neutral

Is it possible (for optimum health) to be on the BTD, even as an A, & be a complete vegetarian?  Even the lists for type A have cod & other fish as beneficials.
Can one have an optimum diet as an A & be a complete veggie?
Most of the veggies I meet are Os!  What a hoot!  Of all the types, they shouldn't be.  Maybe it's a personality thing.......
Can anyone whed some light on this?

Yes, and I was veggie for 25+ yr,.... I think O's are attracted to carbs,(and what else is the veggie diet?) wheat and such, in the way some native people's are attracted to alcohol.....its like a drug, jacking up seratonin, but its no good for us...it seems we may have a tendency to seratonin problems, anyway, not sure on that one....but we must approach it from a different angle.

As can do well being 100% vegetarian.....
they can create complete protein for their type with grains , legumes, nuts and dairy.

Ideas for complete protein meals:

Rice with seasme seeds
Nut butter sandwiches on manna or Ezekiel bread
compliant pasta with compliant dairy of choice
beans and rice
tortilla with beans
hemp protein shake
bean soup with quinoa/rice
cow/sheep/goat yogurt with fruit and homemade granola

Yes. I do eat dairy. I guess my hang up is how to combine these bennie foods for  meal like choices.  Bascially I have been following the belief that as long as you combine the needed components to make a complete protein throughout the day then you receive the protein. Not necesarrily eating the combos at once.

I know that As can do well as veggies & that there are many combinations.......
The question is--can an A have optimum health in the long run as a complete veggie?  Even an O can have an occasional veggie day & it is better for him/her.
Once in a blue moon when I have lentil soup with rice, I feel great & think it is very good for me.

Mrs. T.O. lentils are an avoid for O sec.....but good for O non! (bennie) (go figure!)

I get nowhere when I try it.....even the easy ones. I have no strategies, (where do you get them?), but moreover I prefer the jumble....its so quick and I do it everyday. (some people say its too easy, like my coworker, who said "remember the time it was wrong?"....Ha! It was never wrong, buddy...)
