BTD Forums  /  Testimonials  /  Great News & Potential Help Please
Posted by: KimonoKat, Saturday, November 4, 2006, 3:00am
There is a little weight loss support forum that I participate on.  Well, lo and behold, two of the ladies are taking me up on my challenge to try the BTD for one month.

Here was my hook/offer challenge to all the members there.

Try the BTD as written for 30 days.  Either buy the book Live Right or borrow it from your library to read up on your type.  Document your meals and snacks on the forum.  I will chime in and help you as much as I can and steer you in the right direction.  At the end of the 30 days, I will make you a custom chenille tote in any fabric that you want.  What a deal, huh?

Two ladies have already said they will do it!  One has bought the book already.  These are both A's.  One of these ladies has had severe eczema and has been on an anti-rejection drug for over 4 years for the eczema.  She doesn't want to be on drugs for the rest of her life.

One other lady (possibly a Type B, she's not sure) is interested but hasn't said she is going to buy the book.  She's just in the stages of verifying her blood type.

Isn't this exciting? ;D

So anyway, I may need help from the expert A's here for the Type A's.

AND, I need to know how the one lady in Australia could obtain a secretor test, if she decides to get tested.  (That's the one with the eczema.)

Again, isn't this exciting?  I've got a few ladies who are actually going to give it a try!

Woo ~ Hoo!  I'm so happy I think I'm going to split my face from grinning, lol!

Well congrats KK!!!!  How in the world could they pass up THAT offer! Are you confident they will REALLY stick to it as they should? Here's to positive thinking on that!! Let us know how it goes. Sounds very interesting!  I hope they appreciate the time and effort you will put in to helping them, same for the tote ( throw in the monetary aspect there as well).  I've said it before, I'll say it again, you're a real peach!!! :-)

Well, they've got to give me 30 days of menus documented on the forum to get the tote lol!  So, we'll see.  I had two other ladies "say" they wanted to do this on another forum, but they never followed through with documenting their meals......so...no tote.   One would write down what she ate when the thought occurred to her, but she really wasn't making any effort to follow the plan.  I'm hopeful, but I'm also realistic.  It's really hard for people to change the way they eat.

So true, but if they'll give it the 30 days, you'll have 'em hooked! :-)

Whatever it takes, KK!
chenille . . . silk . . . velvet . . .whatever !

The custom-made gift may be the initial motivation, but the proof is in the transformation of body and mind!  Little do they know what they're in for if they really give it a shot.  (Did any of us realize how much we would change?  :-)

What a wonderful opportunity for you to get these ladies onto the BTD.  I hope they do it for their sakes.  What a good idea for the tote bags.  Yep...make sure they document.  And if they follow...they can't lose.  :D

Debra :)

P.S.  I think I remember you posting about the other ladies a while back.  Too bad they didn't follow through.  Better health and a new tote bag were lost out. ;)

As usual Lola, you're the best BTD web-information researcher we have!  Is this for the Lewis test, or can she get secretor tested there?

Italy, one of the ladies lives in Australia, and I needed a place where she can go to get secretor or lewis tested.

KK,

A friend of mine who finally!!! got her blood typed already lost 15 pounds in 2 months following the BTD... woohoo!!! (she's an O) Like Debra said...  if they follow, they can't lose!! Well.... they will lose weight! LOL!!!

My A son struggled with eczema for years. Even medical folks recognize that dietary intolerances are at the root of eczema... plus stress is a contributor too. I bet her eczema clears up considerably, especially if she knows her secretor status. (my A son is also a nonnie)

Vicki,
right!
I wonder why I had the address under tests in Australia!
perhaps they have an international section or can perform tests worldwide?

thanks for pointing that out! )

I am still reading the book, but I have to tell you this all makes so much sense. I am really impressed! As I get further into it, I will update again. People call this the Blood Type Diet, but it is really a set of healthy living guidelines."

I'm so excited to help these two ladies onto a path of better health.

Congrats KK and fingers crossed for your contest! You sneaky thing you, offering a nice carrot--er, tote, for them to go for! ;) Wait till they find out the REAL reward is good health and a great way to eat! Nicely done, ma'am! :)

KK, fab!  One thought:  be sure to point out the errata re fruit portions because that can make a big diff to Type A's (and any of us) if they think they can only have the DAILY portion once per WEEK, ya know?  I always point that out when starting new wet-behind-the-ear pups out on LR4YT.  I would never want anyone to conclude "gee, this diet is hard to follow, I want me some FRUIT, baby!" and have that be based on a typo, when really this diet is bliss realized!

To recap item one of this reply:  fab job helping not one but two people onto the BTD trail.  I know you will keep it well lit for them.

Yay!
