I have been on the diet for over two years now and pretty much can control breads, cheese, sweets, beer!  :D

However the coffee is just taking me over and I can’t shake it

Help please!

P.S. I knocked the coffee down to one cup a day

Congratulations. :-) Some haven't done that or have taken even longer. Have you tried half and halfing w/ decaf. Then halfing that w/ green tea and then weaning all the way to tea, maybe 1/4 at a time.  The dandelion or roasted green teas are the closest I've found to coffee. There are a lot of coffee subs out there, but so far, they've all had avoids.  :'(       Others will be on w/ more suggestions shortly. :-)

Unsweetened cocoa (1 Tb. to a cup of hot water) has a similiar quality to coffee, especially if you are used to drinking it black.  Or put whatever in it you would put in coffee (compliant stuff).

Wow Isa.... 2 weeks!!!!  YeeHaa!!!

I am glad you notice some positive changes too. That will help in keeping those coffee beans from sneaking their way back into your morning beverages...

They can be rascally creatures, you know...  ;) ;D :D :K)

It's tough I agree...everytime I quit ( 4 TIMES NOW) I swear I'll never touch it again because of the horrible withdrawl I suffer...violent throwing up..headache...sweating...and that is one LARGE coffee a day. Can't even amagine if I had 6 cups !!! I have a little postcard from Ikea and it has coffee in an intervenous bag and says something about needing a jolt in the morning and then it goes on to say the average Swede drinks 9 cups of strong dark arabican coffee a day !!!! Dear Lord I hope they are all A's  :o
I realize it's like being an alchoholic....one cup of the dark stuff for me and I'm right back on board.....
Isa stay far away from the java girl......

Okay, all you carnivours.  Stop complaining.  Coffee is the most amazing invention.  Sorry to rub it in.  I'll trade someone a virtual coffee for a virtual beef stroganoff.  Anybody know if it's okay to have a little coffee during pregnancy?  Maybe towards month 4 or 5?

Coffee gets me jump started in the AM.  I'm just being a good little "A".  I love one cup/day.

Besides, how wrong could one go when Juan Valdez and his trusted donkey were extolling it's benefits!!!!!!

ERFYBaby is unfortunately not in my library system.  I need to check on one of these used book sites and see if I can find it.
