I mixed the "Reversing Hypertension" diet with the BTD for type A's and am happy to report a normal period after many months of irregularity.

I highly suggest folks with HTN check out "Reversing Hypertension" (Dr's first name is Julian). I got it at the Bastyr University bookstore.

Basically it is lowfat, high veggie and fruit and brown rice diet (to start). In the first 2 days I urinated more than I ever have in my whole life (really). Some cells were pretty happy about that!

Anyone have similar experiences?

The other major thing is that I upped a lot of  iron rich foods such as figs, apricots, chocolate, mushrooms, pinto beans and amaranth.
