twice a day.  Like clockwork.

The only time I have ever deviated from this was when I was a Vegan and then my normal body routine went completely off-kilter.  That should have been a warning sign for me for sure.

Once in the morning when I first get up, if not-right after workout and once in the evening after supper, if not-right after walking the dog.   The more compliant I stay the more my bowel movements stay on track.  :D

Yes, twice a day seems normal for me since O diet  18 months now.  Super change because before O diet, had IBS and that was either explode or no-go for days.  Now I know what normal is!!!!

Wow - interesting.  It seems like, so far, O's tend to go twice a day:  once in the morning and once in the afternoon/ evening.  I need to take a quick looksee and see if this is more of a "human" thing, or more of an "O" thing....!

After 5-6 days of BTD compliance I go 1 or two times daily. When I have wheat, coffee, sugar, and dairy I either go loose or none for a couple of days.

See, I'm not sure how many times I go exactly, because I'm that type of person that don't pay much attention to things like that as long as they run smoothly. ;) As long as I "go" every day, everything is fine and I'm happy. ;D

(When I was on Atkins, on the other hand...! :X Nothing happened unless I ate a ton of Psyllum Husks every day! :P)

I just began the 0 type diet a few days ago.  I have always had 2-3 bowel movements a day, all my life.  I did have my appendix removed when I was twelve, but I can not really remember my bowel movement intracacies much before a few years ago.

sorry to intrude in the O poo poll, but this is exactly what happened to me when I was a vegan and vegetarian, I was constipated constantly, even now, I have noticed if I do not eat enough meat in a day I get more constipated, I think I have an O digestive system

Actually, when I went Vegan, I was going TOO much.  I was gassy and always in the can.  Just too bulky.  And stinky.  Like all was not well in mudville.

Started eating for Type O, and everything went back to normal.

Varies, from 2-3 times/day dpending on what I've been eating and when. All those veggies have to come out sometime......

Pre-BTD it was once a day, clockwork.

I've been on this diet for 2-weeks now and it has helped my bowels somewhat.  I also go within 30-min of waking up and before I go to bed.  Pre BTD, I would have bowel movements almost every time I went to the bathroom (4+/day).  I've never been constipated - in and out very quickly  ;D.  Now, while on BTD (I'm not 100% compliant yet, more like 90% - still learning), my bowel movements have hardened somewhat and I'm down to 2-4x/day.

Funny, Atkins never changed my movements except that there was less bulk, obviously.

For me it seems that when I'm strictly compliant I have fewer bowel movements.  When I eat c**p it gets treated like c**p and gets pushed through pretty fast.  Beneficials my body likes to slowly move through, extracting much super nutritive stuff.

Once a day upon rising when -O- compliance is high. Later, like mid morning if coffee has been running the show. Every other day round mid morning or later was a traditional lifelong expectation. As a child the process was very painful and the most terrifying thing to overcome.  For this and other BTD  reasons I can only wonder what my life might have been like had my childhood and subsequent years been wheat and avoid free. Ask a simple question...

Pip: 2 to 3 times or more daily.
John: 1 sometimes 2 rarely 3 times daily

Both of us have improved in regularity and quality since BTD compliance.

Daily diaphragm breathing exercises.
Daily fluid in fluid out balance maintained.
Daily balanced BTD food in.
Daily bowel movements monitored.
Daily exercise 6km brisk walk maintained (circumstantial interruptions)
Daily supplements as required as circumstances dictate.

Quarterly health checks with local GP.

We monitor our health and well being by comparing our state of fitness against that of our peers and how well we deal with the challenges that each day and natures seasons presents to us.

So far we seem to be keeping ahead of the pace, thanks to help provided by the BTD lifestyle.

We are 63 and 66 years old respectively so we have to expect to suffer some of the age related problems now and then but inflammation seems to be the most persistent problem that we face. Cheers John.

I voted for my daughter ;-)
prior to BTD she was ALWAYS constipated.
As long as she only did breastmilk she was fine but weird- one small sticky puh every 10 days - but she was ok content - growing like grass
When I started to feed her solid  she had more movements but
- it really got bad around 1 year when I started to feed her more bread and no breast - pains in her belly and difficult movements.
Today she is fine :-) but she does not have movements everyday she is still very efficient..

When I was 100% compliant, I went 3 times a day like clockwork. Things were just right, if ya get my drift. Never too hard or too squuuuuushy. It was an amazing change from pre BTD!!!  Lots of constipation. I quickly realized that was from wheat. If I cheat and eat wheat now, I can count on being constipated the next day or 2. :-(

Before the diet it was a everytime I ate something, I was vegetarian and ate a lot of whole wheat bread and fake meats.

After the diet basically after breakfast or a good meal -so average 2-3 times a day.

Really? That's interesting! What was your (argh don't remember the terms anymore) critical carb limit or whatever we used to call it!? Mine was 50 grams a day if I wanted to lose 1-2 lbs/week, and that's fairly high I believe. But still I needed the extra fibers to get things moving.

On BTD I'm fine when I eat a serving of grains every other day.

I go twice sometimes thrice a Day.  I am like another poster Chris B here.  I go more often if I eat c**p because my body decides to spit it out almost immediately.  I am guessing that is a good thing (?)

I had to be at 20 or under to lose, 50 or under to maintain. My carbs were mostly lettuce/romaine, broccoli, asparagus, macadamia, walnut, almond, squashes and so on. What carbs I got had fiber.

Never supplemented fiber, had nice (small) normal movements.

Hey Dancer! try eating a lot of one fibrous thing at a time.  Since I'm a fruit eater for breakfast, it works. E.G. eat a whole container of blueberries or a whole can of canned pineapple if you can't get fresh fruits.  Eat a cup or more of grapes or cherries, etc. in season.  I love watermelon & if I'm home, can eat almost 1/2 of one over a morning.  Then when you eat veggies, eat huge amounts.  I can make salad with half a lettuce or a whole one if it is loose.  Beets are wonderful for fiber.  Cook some ahead-they take 2 hours to boil for big ones-cool them & use them cold-great in salads.  If fresh is not available, eat a whole can of peas.
Don't eat any refined carbs.  They are like cement in our systems.
Even tho I go more than once a day, I can get constipated very easily. There is a thread about this glorious topic somewhere.  Read it.  I guess olive oil is helpful as well as water, exercise, etc., but for me, eating right is imost mportant.
Please don't suffer any more!!!

There was an earlier post by another member whose name is 'dancer'.

Dancer has a serious issue with BM's, among other things. The post you refer to is addressing 'dancer', not you.

What about colour? Mine has gone really dark since starting to eat a lot of beef like when I took iron supplements in the past. Is this normal?

Stool color is generally influenced by what you eat as well as by the amount of bile — a yellow-green fluid that helps digest fats — in your stool. As bile pigments travel through your gastrointestinal tract, they are chemically altered by enzymes — changing the pigments from green to brown.

I have suffered with constipation as well since going compliant on BTD, however, if I take my FiberSmart every day then I have a couple of fluffies a day.  I've also upped my Omega 3s to twice a day and use castor oil pack, as per my ND and things are smoothing out nicely.

I've had colon cancer resection surgery so I want to keep my movements passing through regularly.  I've been told you should go once for every meal you eat per day.  I've also read that constipation can lead to breast cancer due to those toxins staying in your system.

I'm sure dark color is from a lot of meat.  Eat more veggies & fruits (fruit eaten alone or before other food).
I have seen so many colors come out. It is very interesting.  If I eat a half watermelon (of course if I stay home all morning!), I often see red stool.  It is so funny! Beets even make the urine lok a little redder & if you forgot you ate them, you might be scared.

Before BTD I was a 'once every 3 or 4 days' girl.  Now its daily and if I'm lucky, twice a day.  

I think the most important factors for me are making sure I drink enough water and not eating wheat.  Although interestingly now, if I do have some wheat bread (and don't continue it as a regular thing) then I have the opposite issue of my body recognising it as 'evil' and it comes out super schnell/fast!  

I also have to really listen to my body signals.  Part of my problem I think, is that if my body tells me its ready for a bowel movement and I'm busy doing something, then I put it off and once the signal is gone nothing happens and everything just dries up inside.  This has been much easier to manage while I haven't been working full time so we'll see how things go once I'm back at work full time.

Pre-BTD, I wasn't real regular and my plunger and I were good friends.

Now it's 1 or 2 times/day.  The plunger feels neglected.   Interestingly, I have noticed that my two A children and I all go at about the same time as each other during the day, even though we mostly eat different foods.

I've noticed that if I'm able to stay totally on your diet for at least 3 days, I only have one BM a day.  

But if I have any grain or grain product other than just rice, I have either diarrhea or multiple BM's during the day.

Anything sweet also messes me up.  As does caffeine.

This blood type science of yours, is spot-on correct with me.  

It's funny, but finding your book is a lot like that old show called "The Greatest American Hero", where the hero had the alien super-powered suit, but never had the alien instruction book to go with it... So he was always having to figure out how the suit worked, through this comedic process of elimination.

The premise for that show was a pretty compelling allegory of what life is like... You spend most of your life trying to figure out the rules, and it's just too bad you don't get it when you're born.  You have to go through a lot of needless suffering until you can finally discover the rules.

Your blood type diet is a lot like that.  

It's like finally having the instruction manual for our bodies.  Too bad this stuff wasn't known when I was born.

This is so interesting to me!
I just started the BTD 5 days ago, at the reccomendation of an N.D. I don't have any serious health problems, but I felt that my metabolism had been slowing down and not running efficiently over the last few years and I have put on some weight.  I have never eaten much meat, especially red meat.  I had been trying to get more healthy by going almost completely vegetarian for the last 6 months with only occassional seafood for quite a while and wasn't seeing much success... so I went to the N.D. & was surprised to find out that I was eating all wrong for my body.

In the last 5 days since my visit to the N.D. I have changed my eating dramatically and I have noticed a big change in my BMs.  I've always been really regular or even overly regular.  When eating mostly vegetarian the last 6 months or so, I was going at least 4 times a day, but usually more and also seeing a lot of undigested food.  PreviouslyI was worried that I may be developing IBS or some digestive problems.  After 5 days without wheat, corn, & dairy (I'm still working on the littler avoids, but I've cut out the big ones completely for the last few days.)  and introducing red meat back into my diet, I have had only one or two BMs each day and there is no more undigested food or loose stools.  I finally feel "regular" not too much of one extreme or the other.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
I'm just starting to see the potential of this way of eating and am looking forward to seeing my health improve over time.  I can already see small changes in just a few days and I'm feeling great, so I think it can only get better from here :) This forum is so helpful and informative as I'm getting started... I know I'll be asking lots of questions here as I'm learning more.

Since I eat too much food, my wife thinks I go too often (3 x day +)

I took Dr D's basic "O" package for about a month and noticed a change

  -  darker and greener
  -  more solid yet fuzzier at the edges
  -  floats more

I noticed many other positive improments, but this is the weirdest

Having managed to be grain free before I went away (to Germany), I was dismayed to find that sticking to it was becoming impossible to manage in the situation I was in (not a hotel or self catering) and I eventually started to eat rice and rye. At first I was ok but soon my bowels changed. Before the change, things had been a little difficult and I was using flax seeds in water to remedy it. It may have just been because of having to use a communal toilet or perhaps was not drinking enough. Once I ate grains again that problem was solved and the bm's were looser, and now I see, more 'greasy' but another change happened in that my metabolism slowed down and weight started to come back on. Being grain free, I was having one or two a day and they were quite copious, but back on grains, they were becoming smaller and smaller, so I find that African saying interesting. It goes against all of the information I had read in the past against eating meat, from vegetarian sources. They claimed that meat takes much longer in the system and there is less residue yet my experience was the opposite. On a high meat regime, I felt that my bowels were working much better, but on grains I felt that things were becoming 'bunged up' and the quality not just the quantity was less healthy looking (good old German 'shelf' toilets).

Back home and on a grain free diet, things are slowly getting back to normal and I feel that everything is moving faster. However, I plan to travel back in a few weeks so will face the same difficulty again. I was unable to find some of my bennie veggies like kale and spinach but staying somewhere else this time, it will be more flexible as I will have more shopping options and at least a handy  take away selling cooked chicken. At least I have learnt now that sticking to the diet is my first consideration and if others do not understand then I will still not be swayed.

Brenda, was that brown rice or white rice?  Brown rice keeps things moving for me, but white rice is like cement in the system!
Traveling is such a pain.  Others don't understand our diet & the act of traveling often slows things down.
Have a safe trip again.
Check in to this site for encouragement on your trip if you can.  It helps me just to read about the diet.

It was both actually, brown rice cakes and a few Thai meals and only at times when I was desperate. I will avaoid the white rice now after what you have said, and the brown rice cakes too if I can but I got really fed up with bananas some days! I think potatoes were the least troublesome to me so if I get desperate again I will use them and stay away from grains.

Yes travelling and on a special diet is a pain. I took dried figs, pumpkin seeds and walnuts away with me, but after a while I got really fed up with them just eating them like that often to replace a meal that was proving difficult to arrange.

Thanks, yes I will make sure I look in to keep me going. I see you are a Christian. I was staying in a Christian community in Germany for six weeks in total.

It is a bit strange to tell strangers this, but what the heck?  I go maybe once a week, but I never feel bad.  Am I an anomoly?  Do I have a problem?  I actually just got off a cleansing program called Puristat to see if it would change my habits.  It didn't.  It made my stomach hurt and gave me the runs.

It is not healthy to be constipated and not have at least one BM every day. I suggest that you read this Consstipation thread and try and see if some of the suggestions will help you.

I get uncomfortable in half a day.  I don't like the 'poisons' in my system.  I don't know how I survived in my younger years.  I know I was more sluggish & needed more sleep. But many I know never have complaints.  I can't judge the one who goes weekly, but I'm sure she may need a little more fiber & then see how things are.

Okay, so how it's gone for me is that I eat super healthy for streches and then I eat not so healthy for stretches.  When I eat not so healthy transit time is a lot faster.  I interpret this to be that the food is poison either because it's unhealthy food or because the way that I ate it makes it so.  The latter I want to explain.  This type O nonnie digestive system of mine seems to be ultra sensitive.  If I mix fruit or even too many veggies with the meat that I eat it gets moved through the GI faster and usually I'm a little gassy.  (I need to say here that I alwayseat plenty of fiber in the form of vegetables and fruit.)  The way I see it, I optimally digest meat by itself.  And for optimal digestion I eat vegetables a couple of hours after I eat the meat, allowing enough time for digestive enzymes to go to work on the meat without being inhibited by the vegetables.  And what works best for me is to eat fruit on an empty stomach which means at least about four hours after eating meat and at least one hour after eating vegetables.  What do I get from eating in such a seemingly complex and inconvenient manner?  Part of the answer lies in something many won't want to talk about.  Sure we can talk about sex, politics.  What seems to me to be a great indicator of my digestive health besides improved mental clarity, more energy, looking more vibrant in the face, and better emotional response is the quality of my stool.  I started thinking this way years ago after reading the book Put Constipation and Hemorrhoids Behind You.  What to me seems to be healthy is solid stool that leaves little or no residue.  It would be a different matter if I were consuming lots of sugar and then you get that hard stool that doesn't leave residue.  That's unhealthy.  Now if I were to constistently eat in this optimal way I think I probably would have a bowel movement everyday because the food matter would build up enough in my GI so that when something goes in something else would need to be pushed out to make room or because most of the nutritive value has been assimilated and the cost of holding the matter in crosses a threshold and the body automatically pushes it out.  It seems that since I don't eat this way all the time that when I eat less optimally the food is moved through fast and then when I eat optimally my body holds the food in longer (several days)because it's super nutritive and super friendly.  I imagine my friendly intestinal flora to be thriving and celebrating.  Oh, and I was thinking that maybe other blood types digest food combinations better.  Looking at the way evolution might have went it seems like type As would digest different food combinations better.  Living in farming communities in which they might have had community meals and type As ability to digest foods that are in themselves food combinations (such as bread) makes me think this way. If I were a type O hunter thousands of years ago I wouldn't wait to gather vegetables to have with the meat that I'm salivating at.  I'd eat it and then maybe take a nap a little while later.  Having said all of that I do know how convenient it is to eat some cooked greens with some meat.  And I do that sometime.  Other times I love to eat in the optimal way I described.  And hey, I haven't even had a cold in five years!  (Well, there were a couple of times in which I just kept eating junk even when the first signs of a cold came on, but other than that I've always went back to eating right and haven't gotten sick.)

Your way of eating sounds OK.  Many of us have weirder patterns!  At least you are eating healthy foods & know how YOUR body works.  It may change in years to come......

How about adding some prunes to your diet?  It's got loads of natural dietary fibre to aid with BM and constipation and is a highly beneficial food for Os.  

On another note, since we're on the topic of bowel movements, I'm not quite sure how to phrase the question but:

If I were to have a BM today in the morning, which meal am I actually excreting?  Is it a one-day cycle or 2-day?  Which is healthiest?

Great Northern Beans are really high in fiber. I remember someone saying that they ate them and noticed a difference in their IBS.

Update, Now we know my bowel was doing the swirl Iliterally on my left side and was Scarred in on my Vaginal canal and bladder therefore irritating it horribly.

I am still regular 1-3 times a day fort he most part, but occasionally I do get something amiss in the right side (and no it is not the appendix). The Doctor showed me how to palpate my large intestine all the way around I can tell when I am stopped up. I use a Rectal suppositiry or enema to get things moving. I am doing much better but realize I must keep a low to yeast free diet. To keep my system on track for healing.

The reasoning for this poll I think in my understanding( what smidgen it is), The bowel being clean is of the utmost importance for your health and well being. Otherwise you cannot clear out the wastes in your body.

When we used to eat pasta 4 or more times a week i would wake up and be straight on the loo.  Since removing pasta almost fully from the diet sometimes not even once a day.

Love that, Mikeo! That sure summarizes the work of Dr Denis Burkitt on stool patterns and disease. I don't believe he factored in blood types though.

Do you all remember the film: "The Last Emperor" by Bertolucci? I can recall the scene where the young emperor's doctors were running behind him at age 3 or so, examining his stools with eyes, nose and what have you! Very important aspect in Chinese medecine.

In France, when we greet someone we say: "Comment allez vous?"(How do you do?) Well that actually is said to come from an expression that dates back to the Renaissance (during the time when America was discovered) and that had an ending to it: ..."à la selle". Meaning: How do you do in the toilet? Love that too!!


Here's how I do!

Before the BTD it was a real struggle. As a child I remember getting enemas because it was so bad. On the BTD it got better but it was still a preoccupation. I always had to make sure I took flaxseeds, or Triphala or probiotics or digestive enzymes...you name it. And even then I didn't get what I get now.

Now on the GTD with the 3 GenoType supplements (Activator, Catalyst, Synergist) and Intrinsa and Polyflora O (I want to restore my gut integrity) its like dropping a letter in the mailbox, 2-3 times a day!!!!

Never in my life  have I had this happen to me! And not only frequency but also volume. I get the signal, go and have a real good dump!
The morning one is larger than the others.

Wheat and milk products almost instantly constipate me. Too many compliant grains do the same.


"Vive" the GTD and all that goes with it. Supplements, what the white lines on fingerprints mean etc...

Just follow the book... and well you know the rest.

Wow!  Karen's post is motivating me to start the Genotype Diet. I'd love to go three times/day.  Some people dream about vacations, handbags, and lost loves. Not this AB. I only dream and pray for three good poops/day! :)
I've been on the BTD for two years and go to the bathroom 1/day.  This is a miracle for me! The BTD, polyflora, and exacta have all helped me. As a kid and all through my 20's I only went once every three to five days!  All the doctor's my mom took me to said that it was normal. I never knew any different so I thought it was normal, too. After, starting the BTD in 2007, I couldn't believe I started to go everyday.  This alone made me adhere to the diet.  I didn't even care about losing weight!  I was just happy going to the bathroom everyday. I'm thinking about buying Larch Ara-6 from NAP.

I am happy my post is inspiring to you.

Just want to add that not only do I go regularly and abundantly but I really have the feeling that my bowels end up as clean as a whistle.

What I mean by that is that some people can have a BM a day and still be constipated. So it is not enough to just have BMs but to actually have the feeling that you are cleansing yourself of all those toxic wastes.

The colon can be so impacted with waste that there is only a little passage left. Stuff still goes through but not really in a cleansing way, actually ridding the bowels.

So, folks, I am sure many of you out there are in this case, thinking you function well, when actually its not that great.

This IS an important issue. Its like sex and money. We don't dare talk about it!

Its not enough to eat the right foods. You need to absorb them very well and eliminate the waste very well. Your health will soar. Mine is.

Sequel (but not about me this time)

When my children were little I didn't check their pooh, because I didn't know better.

Now I have 2 grandsons, 4 and 6, and when I go see them I make it a point to check at least once while I am there and report back to my daughter.

One is BT A and goes with clockwork regularity. The other is BT O and is already struggling although my daughter is careful about their food and I would say 70% compliant. Their sandwiches are made with ezekiel bread etc...But at school he gets the inevitable wheat junk at birthdays and snacks.

This summer I will be with them for about 4 weeks and you can be sure I will keep an eye (and a nose) on you know what... and report back. Because that's another thing BMs should have almost no smell.

I am very curious about this topic. It seems that the friends and family in my life who are depressed or anxious also suffer from some form of constipation or bowel issues. I always tell them about how I healed my own mental issues (depression) through BTD. One of my friend's has started the diet with great results.  She is a total fan now and has also gone off her psychotropic medications. She also quit smoking by following Dr.D's suggestion about eating the dark meat of the turkey.  
I will keep you all updated once I start the Genotype Diet.  Please let me know if you have any other useful information about how to have good movements. No one teaches you this stuff in school! I stay very compliant to BTD and looking forward to starting  the Genotype Diet.  Just ordered the Genotype testing kit.  I think I'm either a Nomad or Explorer but need to confirm with some more measurements and prop taster.

One more thing that helped me go better... drinking water only 1/2 hour before meals and 2 hours after meals.  I don't stick to this perfectly but just keeping water away from meals has also helped me to go to the bathroom in a bigger and better way for lack of a better expression LOL!  I'm thankful to Dr.D for giving me this idea...I think I read it on his website a few months ago.

My friend read LRFYT and saw on page 294 that a woman quit smoking by increasing tryptophan rich dark meat turkey.  I also quit smoking and drinking through this natural amino acid. Whenever I need comfort food I eat dark meat turkey.

I read that floaters indicated you aren't digesting fat.  It is in the stool, which causes it to float.

I'm starting to loath reading about health and diet because
the more I read the more controversial and confusing it gets.

Just the other day I caught a glimpse of the Alkalizing diet
food chart and I was just blown away at the foods that

I go a minimum of twice a day - usually 3 or 4.  It depends on how much I've eaten and how often - 3 decent-sized meals = 3 decent-sized poops a day.  I like to think of myself as a sausage machine in this way - what's going in is pushing stuff out.  I'm strange I know, but I've always been like this  ;D

Like Andrea said - moving your bowels is the body's way of getting rid of things it doesn't need... I've definitely heard (& believe) that the longer you hang on to poop, the more chance there is for toxins to be reabsorbed. Not sure about 3 times a day but I definitely feel more sluggish when I don't "go" & am much more energised when I do...You just may not know what a difference it can make if you haven't experienced it :-/

Glad you brought this up because yes, the colon is the only
organ that doesn't get filter through your blood and gets
circulated through the lungs. And obviously a dirty foul
colon is evident through the breath. In all the years of
being slow to poo and dealing with this so called IBS,
I've never had a loved one ever tell me my breath is poo'e.
But I have caught a whiff of some nasty(usually obese people)
breath that I swear smells like poo.

What is this breathe Hydrogen you speak of? I'll google it.

Where is the asteric to indicate Dr D's posts??  I look for them.... big time..

When I eat Two table spoons of Extra Light olive oil daily, then I have no problems, if I do not do that, then I have dryness issues.  

If I have any issues???, I still think transit time is slow... allowing my body to absorb each calorie to its fullest, but with the oil in place of snacks, I seem to be able to stabilaize my body weight....

How to test for transit time?  -- Canatalope is a good elimiantor within hours:  all esle,, slowww as malassas, I think days... !..

They are usually in the title - that is, if he remembered (or took the time) to put them in or if a moderator realized that there wasn't one there and added it...

If the asterisk is at the start of the title, it means Dr. D. started the thread.
If at the end of the title, he posted in the thread...

I have been on the Type o diet for 6 years now.  I pretty much stick to it and if i do the BM is usually within the first half hour after rising.  I always drink about three glasses of water taking two prescriptions and tons of vitamins and supplements.  If I happen to backslide and eat an Avoid, I will have almost instant stomach cramps and BM.  My system tells me its not ok.  When I was growing up I was constipated all the time.  

I am fasting right now, this is my fourth day.  I wanted to detox and clean out my system.  I have never done this before other than being sick with the flu several times in my life.  I haven't really been hungry but have been drinking green tea and hot water with fresh organic lemon and ginger.  I also had a V8 one time when I was getting hungry.  I know its full of sodium but I had to have something.  

My husband said my gall bladder would flush and I would have a bile poo around 72 hours.  He always does.  So far nothing.  I had a back ache last night and it is still a little sore, in the area where my GB should be.  I am getting hungry and want to eat but not until this flushing happens.  I had a BM each morning none yesterday or today, a little gas though.  

I am in the desert so I have been very hot and weak when I have gone outside, but I am not one to stay indoors.  I also know that my system seems to work slower than my husband.  Once I had food poisoning and my husband got very ill within the hour and it took me about 6 hours.  We both ate the same amount of food.  

Interesting thread to say the least.  I read some of them and wondered if I should be eating more protein.  I love veggies and eat about 3 different ones every day and lots of fruit but I would think I would have more BM's doing that but I don't.
