First I want to thank Dr D. and this forum it has really changed my life.  I've always been such a picky eater growing up (i'm 26 yrs old).  Lots of allergies and digestive problems.  It is amazing when you truely believe in something how it can change who you are.  Until November i have always hated vegetables, and fish of any kind.  Now it is vegetables at almost every meal and fish about 6 times a week.  wow i'm really not the same person.....I'm much healthier!!!!
I can't believe i now LIKE vegetables and fish and I crave to eat them.  Also the sugar and any sweetener except molasses is gone and I have no cravings.  Who am I?
If only i could convince my mom to try this diet.  she really needs it (she has an auto immune disease) but she just doesn't believe it.  Sometimes i feel like a btd preacher,  trying to get her to see the way.  It is life changing.

good for you...finally feeling like a true AB self....don't preach but slowly introduce her to some avoid foods and why they are bad for her and beneficials...it took me over a year to get my mom to bake with spelt flour instead of wheat and to stop eating bananas...she's an A...if there is no motivation, there is no will

It's always nice to discover something true. You're lucky to find it at a young age.

Congratulations- to change so much is something you should be proud out :-)
It is fairly easy to change your lifestyle/eatinghabits to BTD friendly IF you already eat a good diet- but to change from the average crappy diet is a milestone!

Hey Mandi!

Soo good you found the BTD so early in life... ;D

When I 'found'  BTD I was 45... Still in time!!! ;D Lifechanging was my experience as well...

Hhmmm what if the BTD had been available when I was 26...???
Different life, different person I would have become, that is for sure..
But, maybe other things in my life then had to be settled first.

Changes in life present themselves to you when you are ready for it..
That is way I feel about it.. ;D

Anyway keep going Mandi!! You have all reasons to be proud of yourself...
Here, on the BTD forums we all are proud of ourselves and of the support we can provide for others..

Take care  :K)

Congratulations Mandi-keep up the good work.  You are very lucky to have found and implimented BTD into your life a young age.  As Mikeo says, don't preach.  It doesn't work.  Suggest things to your mom and, hopefully, one day she will have it in her life like you.  I, too, wish that I could've had this way of life sooner, but we can't change the past.  We can only work on the present and future. ;) :D

Mandi, congratulations on all your success. To have found this at such a young age, as others have said, is truly a blessing. I wish so much my daughter would just open her mind to the possibilities............... my mom BTD'd for 2 mths when she got really really sick. She got really really well and then got off it and yes, she is sick again.  ::)
