I cant quite say that im doing this diet spot on but im trying my best this is my 4th day into it, ive made 1 exellent meal sofar and that was tofu stirfy (in the book) i had it yesterday and day before for main meal, but yesterdays meal i added basmati rice (not sure if rice is ok) ive been drinking pineapple juice morning and evening, and if im pekish throughout the day i have rice cakes sometimes with apricot jam!
can someone tell me if this sounds ok?
Anyway im feeling something different in my body.....i cant explain it, i have a bit more energy infact i havnt sat down today LOL and thats unlike me, so in my opinion there is SOMETHING working in this diet, i also feel fitter not as heavy and bloated does this make sense?

Welcome Angie, you can trust yourself !  All you wrote is OK, but look for variety in your food, so you'll have a better nutrition and appetite.
Jam should be sweetened with fruit concentrate better than common sugar, but for A secretors sugar is allowed in little doses as corn.
Rice and cereals as oat, amaranth, quinoa, buckwheat are good for As in the allowed weekly portions. Also rye, barley spelt, kamut are good if you are not celiac.
It's quite remarkable to know your secretor status if you need to improve your health or weight loss. Search in Knowledge base secretor and non secretor.

Best wishes; you'll reach your goals with this diet !

Congratulations Angie!

Glad to hear that you're feeling better and more energetic on this way of life.

Eating basmatic rice is fine, and everything you've eaten so far sounds ok.  If you wish, you can post a whole day's menu so we can help you fine-tune your meals.

bubblefizz, you can substitute rice for pasta in anything and it is just as good.  Even better, try using broccoli florets in dishes where you normally use pasta.  Delish, nutrish, and low calorie, too!

You can post it in the "What I Ate Today" thread.  Post as often as you'd like.

Hey Tas, you can't kid a Wolve's fan; the orange and black symbol you displayed above is the logo for the Wolverhampton Wanderers (a.k.a. the Wolves).

Up the Wolves!!!

Nice one Howard.

Are you ex Wolvo too ?

;D Well, my dear wide-eyed newbie, you won't starve, because broccoli is more filling than you'd think, for one thing, but also, you are going to be a good little BTDer and have some PROTEIN with it, Type A or no Type A, one still needs protein in order to quell the old blood sugar and fullness issues.  So:

(Dang, I WISH I could figure out the table formatting set-up codes on this board but I'm too busy working on the 4 8 15 16 23 42 code from "LOST" *LOL*!!!  Therefore, this is not going to look as clear and user-friendly as one would hope, but onward!)

Instead of pasta with pesto sauce (my fave way to have pasta), you are instead going to have:  Either rice, rice pasta (Pastariso is my fave brand), or broccoli (or another veggie) with pesto, and to that, to take care of your "but I'll starve!" concern, you are going to add in some lovely, omega-3 rich and protein rich SALMON, or some beautiful, A-friendly TOFU, or you can sprinkle in some beneficial and filling PEANUTS, walnuts, or other nuts.  Think outside the box, girlie girl!  The sky is the limit!  Think "black-eyed peas", think "stir-fried pumpkin", think of so many things that rock with pesto sauce and you are off to the races!  Just try to balance the rice, rice pasta or veggie with some protein such as tofu, salmon, peanuts, walnuts or turkey in there and you won't starve, even if you do use broccoli instead of rice pasta or rice.  Rice pasta with pesto and lemon, btw, with some tofu thrown in for good measure, really sounds fab to me right now, how about you?  You are the A, so you go for it.

I'll just be over here with my raw slab of beef and kale.  :D

Well Tas, my wife's family is from Wolverhampton and to get along with my father-in-law it became obvious I should support the Wolves. I have been to a few games and watched them on t.v. here in Canada, when they were in the Premier two seasons ago. I still follow them but only over the internet.

Btw, I spent Dec 31st, 1999, seeing the new year in on the docks in Hobart. My stepson was completing a Ph.D at Utas so we took the opportunity to visit him. Were you there along with what must have been about 5,000 people? Would like to visit again, but the distance is just too great, wpould like to buy a hat at Salamanca Market.

Howard,

We live at the other end of the State, Devonport on the North West Coast, about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Hobart.
