BTD Forums / Testimonials / 3 weeks on and one meal off

For 3 weeks I have been strictly following BTD and with the help of WW for portion control, I have lost almost 10 pounds HOORAY!!!.
Two days ago I was in a predicament; I had to check on my Mom's cats and keep them company for a few hours. I thought I had planned well and brought a meal. Alas, alack, it was frozen soup and I had forgotten that she doesn't have a microwave and I was sooooo hungry. To speed up the process I decided to add some canned tomato soup, I figured the corn syrup was in such a small amount it wouldn't matter. Also scrounging while waiting for the soup I had one small dove bar. What a mistake, the next day I had heartburn and today my old "gastro" problems have returned.
I think the reaction is mostly to corn syrup. Amazing how such a small amount has had such a noticeable effect.

Frustrating isn't it? I always make sure I have some "Deflect" (from NAP) in my bag for unavoidable avoids. Today, my sinuses have been very clogged up - I think I have had too much wheat in the last few days - our bodies do try and tell us what they don't like , don't they?
Well done on your weight loss - very respectable! And fantastic to know you are already feeling so much better after only 3 weeks! ;D(clap)

I don't know how to quote another posting, this is in response to ISA-MANUELA:
The WW "Core" works well with BTD and I need the accountability since I've had a "weight problem" almost my entire life. I created a card that has the intersection of the BTD Neutral/Benficial and WW core foods. People are also more accepting of WW than BTD so it takes less explaining. I must say that WW's penchant for "Fat Free" is not one I ascribe to, the additives in those products make me dizzy just reading them.
