......and the changes just keep a comin'!

When I started the BTD on December 18th, I knew that there would be changes.  All for the positive, I was certain.  I just didn't expect them to be quite so sudden and dramatic.

Where I was on December 18th:  176 lbs. (on a vertically challenged 5'4" frame  ;D), lethargic, sleeping way too much and not feeling rested upon awakening, fuzzy minded, lack of drive or focus, and heartburn/indigestion to name a few.

Where I am on May 18th:  153 lbs., full of energy, sleeping far less than before, and feeling well rested on awakening.  It's gotten to the point that I wake up before my alarm clock goes off (at 4:30 a.m. on the weekends), and I'm unable to sleep in, even if I want to.  My mind is now sharp and focused, and my ability to toss out humorous one-liners has come back with a vengeance.  Also need new belts, because I'm on the last hole of the two belts that I do have.

In previous posts, I had commented that I had accomplished much more around the house than I had prior to starting the BTD.  Well, those times were NOTHING compared to what I have accomplished around the house in the past month.  I can no longer sit still for long periods of time.  I HAVE to be doing SOMETHING.  I rarely watch TV anymore, because I'm too busy seeing what else I can get done around the house.   I have completely gone through, and reorganized my entire 12x16 shed.  I am 95% done, completely going through my basement.  Heck, I've gone to the recycling center so many times in the past month, they're about ready to offer me valet parking!  ;D  I have so much room in my basement now, it's not funny.  And once I build some new shelving, there will be even more room.

It used to be that I would sleep in, and not get anything constructive done around the house before I left to work second shift.  Not anymore.  This morning, I was up by 8 a.m., fed my kids......uhh........kitties, then myself, and started in around the house.  Weeded the flower gardens, sorted and organized all the user manuals for stuff I had around the house, sorted and shredded important and now not so important paperwork.  Dropped off a carload of cardboard to the recycling center on my way to work.   Last night, I was in the basement until 10:30 cleaning.  :o  Not the first time, certainly won't be the last.

My workout partner keeps telling me that he wishes that he had the energy that I did.  And I keep hounding him to call his doctor to find out his blood type, and then we can tailor his diet.

Yep, I know, all good stuff.  However, there is a dark side to all this.  Yes, yes, it's true.  :(  I now have four very pissed off kitties because they don't get all the quality lap time with Dad that they used to get.  ;D  Instead of one, now I have two that join my friend and I for our workouts.  Now I have two that just HAVE to be let in the bathroom as soon as I finish my shower.  And I now have all four who jockey for space and time when they see that Dad's sitting at the computer!  Who knew that a keyboard shelf doubled as a cat perch?  ;)

My body is still detoxifying, as I have continued to have a stuffy nose.  I have found it interesting how my body works.  Through the night, my sinuses will be clear.  But as soon as my body knows that I'm awake for good in the morning, my sinuses will suddenly fill up, and I have to get up to blow my nose.  I experimented with changing my eating routine, thinking that it may have been caused by certain foods, but no change.  I guess I can only keep blowing, until it stops.

Oh, and as I mentioned in my earlier posts about not stopping at Wendy's?  Well, I did.  Not as a weakness, but as an experiment.  Let's just say that I no longer have a desire to stop at Wendy's, or any other fast food joint.  I had what I usually did, and certainly felt it a short time later.  My energy level plummeted, I felt bloated, and it felt like I was carrying around a bowling ball in my stomach.  Not a joyous occasion.  Felt like someone had sucked the life out of me.  Not a road that I care to travel again.  I'll stick to the one I'm currently on, thank you very much!

So there you have it.  That's where I'm at after 5 months.  I can only imagine what the next 5 months will bring.  All will be good, I'm sure, and with a four cat mutiny on my hands!  ;D  So if you suddenly don't hear from me, you'll know that the mutiny was successful!  ;D

Hey MC!

That is just great!! And that is just the first few months! ;D
A lot more is going to change for the better...  ;)
It is a brand new life, as I read from your post..

I am on this Way of Life since october 1999.. And still improvements..
In  february I stopped my bloodtypemeds... Also caused by removing all my amalgam fillings.... BP dropped dramatically... My body is coping in a wonderful way,  BTD is the name of the game..
I am getting older, but my body is getting 'younger' every day ;D ;D

I have copied your testimonial for showing to my O-patients as proof of how quickly it can work!!!

Take care and stay healthy!!

Damn all this energy!!!  :P It's cutting into my time on this board!  ;D

My apologies for taking so long to respond.  Yesterday was a BUSY day.  Outside by 7:30 a.m. to weed and mow the lawn.  Then a good part of the day was spent trimming trees and bushes that have needed it for quite some time.  Had to sort through a bunch of trim board for the house, and make a trip to Home Depot after 9 p.m. last night.  I finally called it quits at 10 p.m.  Not because I wanted to, but because I had to.  I was beat.

Today, I have to sand, condition, and stain all the trim board.  Thought I'd make a quick post before I spent most, if not all of today doing that.

*scratches head*  There's a sinus protocol, Lola????  I did not know!  Guess I'll have to find that when I get a moment.

Having all this energy is just too cool.  Especially where projects around the house had piled up, because I just didn't have the energy or ambition.  Oh, it's gonna be a PRODUCTIVE summer!  ;D  I just have to be sure to make time for the kitties, to fend off the imminent mutiny! LOL

This board is like a source of energy in itself.  One can come to the boards, and read of the so many wonderful changes that have happened to others.  And after reading so many positive things, how can one not help but be energized by it all?  I know that when I always come here to play catch up,  I always feel better when I log off.  And it makes me want to see just how much better the rest of my day can be!

Now I just have to see what I can do to lure my friends and family over to the dark side.  Hmmmm....maybe that should be The Lighter Side, since we all end up losing weight!.  ;D

Glad to hear that you were able to stop your meds, and that your blood pressure has dropped Cocky.  That is great news!

All right, I have to go conquer another days worth of work.  Everyone have a great day, and an even better weekend!!

I know just what you mean.  I appreciate our road so much and I never want to leave the road again!  All this week, we have had a huge spread of junk here at work and, as I've pointed out before, whenever we have junkfests in our department, it is always laid out right outside my cubicle, on this sort of large, flat "worksurface" we have.  I become the totally unwilling "Keeper of the Carbs" in that EVERY person who walks by will ask (and this happens with a frequency of approximately once every three minutes, max), "Oooooooooh, what's the occasion today?",  "What is that?",  "Is it good?",  "Can I have some?",  "Who made it?",  "What's in it?"

If, at any point, I say:  "I DON'T KNOW, DON'T CARE, FOLLOWING A SPECIAL DIET HERE, HELP YOURSELF, GET OUTTA MY FACE!", they inquisitor continues on like s/he didn't even hear me:  "Is that a creem cheese frosting?",  "Is it homemade?", "You guys always have the best stuff!", "Are those pepperoni?", etc.

Well, this week was rare form all around, I am taking, the whole situation was a parody of itself.  One of the members of the little clique that always bakes and cooks and brings in things had a daughter graduating from HS and so she had a party and bought all sorts of stuff at Sam's Club (which is apparently some sort of suburban shrine, as they all seem to worship at the alter of all this CR*P they bought there...like "oooooooooh, aren't these so cute!  omg, they are so good!", when HELLO, they are little cr*ppy, wheat-laden appetizers on trays--I mean, it ain't gourmet fare, gals, WAKE UP and smell the mediocrity!), and it turned out she bought way, waaaaaaaaay too much, so it all ended up as a steady parade in here, and I'm talking about HUGE amounts of food here.

In the past, pre-BTD days, I would have partaken of everything, because there was Edna-type stuff out there, big time, like chips and dip, etc.  But I just really FELT and profoundly, profoundly KNEW that I didn't want any, as I KNOW exactly, exactly the harm that such "food" does to me and IT IS SOOOOOOOO NOT WORTH IT!!!

I look around at the women who are the most into this and one of them is very fat and has diabetes, yet she continues to eat the most sugary of the cr*p, such as this week alone, M&M's, cupcakes, etc.  Another one is very short and so fat in a very rolly-polly sort of way, that to me it just screams WHEAT and inflammation.  I just think, it isn't worth it.  I'm so GRATEFUL, I literally said a prayer of thanks to God about this just last night, thank you, God, thank you.  For what?  For the fact that I am at this point in my own diet journey wherein I know on such a deep level how much harm that stuff does to me, AND I know what to do to stay on the road I want to be on (because just knowing that something hurts you without knowing what to do to avoid it, if one is sensitive/addicted to certain foods, is not going to be enough--"will power" alone is NOT enough, not for those of us with food addictions, that is what Equipro was talking about the other day), and when you have those two things together, you have a lot of power.  Power to choose a health-bestowing path instead of a path to destruction, which is not too dramatic of a way to phrase it, really.  Without the BTD, I would be very fat (been there, done that) and I would be on the way to diabetes and I would be all inflamed and I would feel as I used to feel, unsteady and craving cr*p all the time and fat and inflammed (joint-wise) and my back would probably be acting up and STOP THE MADNESS.

I'm so grateful to REALLY not want any of the junk on the table.  I really don't want it.  I want what I have, like Missilecop said.  I want what I have.

Thanks for the link, Lola.

However.... :B, I won't need it now.  I attended a Crystal Healing Intensive class yesterday with a bit of Holographic Memory Resolution thrown in, and about 85% of my sinus problem has been taken care of in less than 24 hours.

Usually, it was my left sinus that would always plug right up in the morning.  I woke up this morning, and for once it was completely clear.  I still have a slight sinus issue on the right side, but far less than what it was before.  I get the feeling that it will be even less of an issue in another 24 hours.

What I've found is that when I had the other issues, such as weight gain, tiredness, fuzzy mind, the sinus issue became an underlying problem.  Now that I have cleared up the weight related issues, underlying issues are now coming to the surface to be cleared.

My sinus issue is the result of my hitting a moose at 65 mph on my way to work one night (10:45 p.m.) back in 1997.   At the time, I had been thinking about getting a new car, but that's certainly NOT the way that I wanted to go about getting one!  ;D  The only thing I saw was the lower part of four legs, and my last thought before impact was "My, that's a mighty big deer!" (Moose usually aren't seen in southern New Hampshire) Crunch went the car, the airbag deployed, I lost consciousness for a split second, and when I came to, I instinctively hit the brake.  The moose had come part way into the car, and then bounced back out.  My nose was knocked out of alignment, along with my jaw, and a case of whiplash with other minor bumps and bruises.  The chiropractor had put things back, but it hadn't  cleared the issue on a cellular level.

Glad to hear that you're back on the wagon and feeling better, Karen!!  ;D  Hmm...Karen?  Dublin?  I know who to call if and when I ever get to Ireland!  ;D

"The Keeper of the Carbs"......that's funny, Car54.  Do you get a hooded cape to wear, and a staff to carry as well?  ;D

Goodness, that must bite, having all that junk food right next to you.  I came in to work this morning, and there was a Dunkin' Donuts box on the table.  The other operator offered, and I just said 'Nope, can't have it'.  I just tell 'em that I've lost all this weight, and I'd like to keep it off.  I've lost 23 lbs. in less than 6 months.  What the hell makes them think that I want to put that back on!?  :X  I have no desire to return to moving at the speed of slug.

Good for you Missle Cop. I've been slacking BIG time.  :-/Maybe your testimonial will help. I started back but I need to keep going! My asthma has been acting up big time. I've been debating whether to go to the MD or not. I'm sure he would give me a dose of solumedrol. (a steroid) I've been reading the Journey of the Soul series of Sylvia Brown's. It's suggested to open the crown chakras daily so I'm trying that. It sure is scarry not being able to breath so I will be more compliant. I tend to stay on "diets" for only 2 months. However I never really felt that this was a "diet" but a way of life.

Hello +Aan!!!   ;D

All right Missy, time to hop back on the wagon!  You let me know when you're gonna fall off, and I'll pull you back up.  Deal?  We're gonna get you back on track.  Next time you feel like slacking again, take a moment to remember what you felt like the last time you went off the BTD.  When I have one of those moments, thinking about how I felt before is enough to keep me from wanting to go back to the way that I used to feel.

As for your asthma, pick up some Amethyst, Malachite, Turquoise, Pearl, Moonstone, or Aquamarine.  All of these help to deal with the affects of asthma.  Pick whichever one feels right for you.   Just make sure you clear them before you use them.  You don't know who elses energy might be imprinted on them as they made their way to your hands.   Also, pick up some Hematite or Obsidian to help keep you grounded.  I'll see what other information I can dig up on asthma for you.

Bonnie, why wait until Paul has finished all the chores?  Why not hire him out now, and make some money? *chuckle*  ;D  He makes you some money, and you get him out from under foot for a few hours.  ;D  Win-win all around. LOL

If I don't let him finish our chores first he might make me do them    ;)   ;)

Yeaaaaa!  *Happy Dance*  And believe me, I don't dance!  So feel special!  ;D  Of course, if you saw me dancing, you'd be more like this  :o  :X  *chuckle*

Glad to hear that you're doing better.

Now keep at it, or we're gonna kick your butt!

What?  Oh, really?  Oops.  I'm sorry, I misread what you wrote.  I thought you said INTIMIDATION, not inspiration.  Silly me!  ;D

??).Here I am, aching from wrestling w/my riding lawnmower for the 1st time this year and then holding the Weedeater to cut around all the trees and bushes in my yard.  I'm a 71 yr old widow  type O( my husband died 2 1/2 years ago, and I can't seem to depend on my grown kids for anything) and have followed the BTD as close as I can..  I still have weaknesses but am finding out more that watching what I eat really counts! Wheat gives me shortness of breath, and potatoes make me ache, sugar  gives me muscle cramps and milk products gives me mucus.
I have also found that keeping my body in balance by using acupressure massaging points for corresponding problems that I have is VERY beneficial. I have a book that I use as a guide, and have reccommended it for so many people that it has also helped, that I should get a commission on the sales (LOL)
I also found that using the Vegetable Glycerin 1st thing in the AM with my lemon Jce water, really curbs my appetite for sweets.  When I don't have it, I want to eat all the time! I also use the Lectin Blocker and vitamins and minerals reccommended, and can go circles around my 57 yr old gal friend I have my ups and  downs but am thankful that I have this website to share with others.Sewjean

Hi Sewjean!!  ;D

Glad to hear that you're running circles around your 57 year old friend!  Don't you just love that feeling!?   ;D

What book are you using for your Acupressure?  Curious minds want to know.  *sigh*  Another book to fill up my bookshelf!  ;)

Sweetie, if I lived near you, I'd be right over to take care of your yard.  Actually, I just spent 2 1/2 hours with my next door neighbor, who just had her gallbladder removed.  Filled her birdfeeders, cleaned out the birdbath, and just chatted.  She keeps telling me that her family is going to mow the lawn, but I'm thinkin' that I'll probably be over there Thursday mowing it.  She's about your age, and a widow as well.   Very nice lady.

The book I referred to is Living Pain Free by Devi Nambutripad, and the allergy treatments I went through are referred to on her website http://www.naet.com.  I got most of my books from amazon.com that are either good used, or new, but at a lesser price.( Us retired on SS income watch the pennies!) I took 4 months of treatments of the NAET when out in CA visiting my sister in 2003, and got rid of alot of my allergies, but found that the BTD  also assists in my wellness.
Hope this answers your curious mind!
Just hop over to MI and give me a hand (LOL)  Sewjean
