Well, I figure it's about time to post my little blurb here.
At about December of '04 I had cut red meat out of my diet almost completely. I wanted to become a vegetarian like my friend (whadya know, he's A). At about the same time I started to develop breathing problems. I told myself it was the weather playing tricks on me. Come January, I knew it wasn't just the weather. Come February, I knew I had to do something. I felt like I was suffocating to death. So I did some research and came up with the BTD.
After just a few days on the BTD I noticed an immediate increase in energy levels. To make a long story short, after about a month of sneezing up old impurities, I could finally breathe for once. And I can move
much faster. Seeing as how my job pays me by my work, speed is important to me, and time
is money.
But here's what's great. I deliver papers for the Houston Chronicle. Sunday is really rough. Sometimes the paper can weigh up to 5 pounds. The average Sunday used to take me until 8:30 AM or later to finish the job. Today I finished at 6:30. I was in the "zone" as us gamers call it. When I was out throwing, I ran into some college kids, and we had an exchange that went something like this:
Quoted Text
STUDENT: Hey man, are you tweakin'?
ME: Tweakin?
STUDENT: Yeah, are you on something?
ME: No.
STUDENT: Really? You look like you are on Speed.
ME: Nope.
STUDENT: So what, did you just drink a lot of coffee or something?
ME: Nah.
STUDENT: You mean you're sober?
ME: Yeah.
STUDENT: Wow, that's crazy.
ME: I guess it is.
Before this encounter, I had never really given much thought to how fast I
was moving. I just kind of went. But when I payed attention to it I realized that I'm moving so much faster than before the BTD, it's almost unbelievable. Today I finished throwing papers at 6:30 on a paper route that would normally take until 8:00. And not only that, but after I'm done, I still feel like I could climb a mountain (one of my favorite activities, BTW).
So, does the BTD work? It gets two big thumbs up from me. I find it funny that someone thought I was on a stimulant/pepper. Well, I suppose I am on a stimulant...the stimulating BTD :P
