I discovered Dr. D'Adamo and his discoveries listening to the Laura Lee show from Seattle. It sounded right, and I tried it. I first followed the O diet for the first few weeks, but following a blood donation, I learned I was B-. I've not been perfect, but I keep getting better at it.

I was suffering from repetitive stress syndrome, chronic fatigue and a bunch of other chemical and cognitive disorders. Slowly but surely I've recovered nicely. I thank Dr. D for a big part of it. I also started yoga practice shortly before changing my diet for good.

Mostly what I think I got from following the book and the website is realization. I just didn't notice what I ate or how it affected me. The first couple of years were kinda confusing and rough, but the benefits were clearly evident. I'm not one to stick to things, but this has stuck. I hope others give it a serious shot.

Thanks Sean,
That's a real inspiration to someone like myself who's only known BTD for about a year.  I've also been a slow starter as far as full compliance, but can't deny the positive things I observe when I follow the program closely and even when I'm just hitting the basics.

Sean--it's really nice to have people like you (and others) who have been on the plan for a while and talk about the ups and downs. I have had the books for a couple of years but didn't get serious about following the BTD until about a year ago, and even then it was tough going with a lot of noncompliant eating. But that's slowly changing.

I'm hoping to get my copy of the Arthritis book in the mail tomorrow. I'm going to use it to go after my fibro and arthritis problems. Thanks for sharing your story, it gives me some extra inspiration to hang in there and stay with it :)
