Hi, I am Richard, from France, and new here.

In the book, for Gatherers, rice is a food to avoid. In this site (, it is an ok food for Gatherer. I know the truth is out there, but where :) ?

Follow the book.

There were a number of errors in the recipes, not all of them have been corrected.

Hi Richard,

Sorry for the confusion.  The book shows that rice is a black dot avoid for Gatherers.  The paragraph explaining the black dot status is:
Quoted from GTD, pg. 205-6
Some foods on the Gatherer Toxin list need only be avoided for a short period of time so you can regain your balance.  After 3-6 months, you can reintroduce these foods back into your diet in modest amounts.  They are identified by a black dot icon.  Of course, if you are battling an illness or feel your weight beginning to creep back up, you may want to ramp up your compliance by avoiding these foods again for a while.

The recipes show all foods that can be eaten by that Genotype and some do contain errors.

Hello Richard and welcome!

On page 212 Basmati Rice (the type used in Indian cooking) is listed as a Superfood for Gatherers (as is Rice Bran with a Diamond) - all other rice are black dot status.

The recipe link above is for Basmati Rice, so there is no mistake... :)
