Hi there! So I finally bought the heal tooth decay book and started following the guidelines. I know CLO is an avoid for explorers but I tried it anyway. I have been getting sick more than ever (I hadn't been sick in over 2 years and I generally don't get colds) and it hurts my stomach. I'm wanting to order the fermented cod liver oil and see if that makes a difference. I was wondering if anyone has had success with it? I am taking it for my teeth and skin.

I want to add that my teeth look much better, shinier and whiter (hence my stubbornness in taking the oil even if I don't feel great), and my front tooth which tends to not have much enamel looks better when I follow the diet and take cod liver oil and ghee.

I follow the explorer diet but since I stopped eating so much pinto beans and brown rice (both diamonds for me but avoids on heal tooth decay), my teeth have looked better. So I'm doing a combo of both in a way.

I'm not interested in getting swami at the moment, just curious to see if anyone is taking fermented cod liver oil and if they do well on it. Thanks!

oh and the brand Ive been taking is Nordic naturals, which is the one he recommends if you don't want to spent the money on the fermented one. I only bought this one because my store carried it. Nordic Naturals is not fermented.

what does your book say about oil pulling instead of ingesting an avoid?

might be worth pondering?

the cod liver oil is for fat soluble vits A and D, that are needed for teeth re-mineralization. It gets taken along with pasture butter or ghee (which is a diamond). Funny thing is when I thought I was a hunter I took it for a while and it didn't hurt me at all. Maybe its just a coincidence that Ive had 3 colds and 1 stomach bug in the last 2 months. That's more than I've gotten sick in 5 years!

Could you get the vitamins A and D from compliant sources, if the CLO is an avoid for you?

Would you consider taking Dr D's Fish Oils for a few months to see if that has the positive effects on your teeth and doesn't upset you.

of course it could be something else that has caused the colds etc.

but since Dr D suggest that cod liver oil is an avoid there is a reason for it.

remember that the book is based on research that is not blood type filtered. and although a good read he say himself that he is an amateur. he has also started selling and recommending some strange products, which does not instil confidence to me. also the book is very focused on healthy teeth and not on the whole body. some research is from the western price organisation which is definitely run by zealots in my humble opinions although some of the members are nice.

also one has to imagine that some people not having access to cod liver oil had decent teeth too.

anyway the main thing i got from the book is to not eat grains re the phytic acid. and to use natural tooth paste etc. but even that can be argued against.

so i suppose the question is do you do everything else right. no sweets, no wheat, no fluoride or chlorine? if so do you really need COD liver oil. will Dr D's not do the same job and be purer.

the nordic operation seems massive maybe owned by monsanto by now ;)

You can get lts of A,D and K2 from other sources,
Like ghee from pastured cows, egg yolks from pastured hens, some cheeses and most important liver ( no d )
Fish eggs are  also great.

I have had good results from codliver oil NN  but I am a B NOMAD
and a low grain diet, several cavities wentaway  ;D
