I am 48 and have found the last three autumns I seem to get a virus and with my habits I get through the  first stages fairly quickly in a day or so.  But then it seems to settle into a sinus infection.  This didn't used to happen when I was younger.  I'm on the second day and my fever is about gone.  I feel ok and can smell and taste, but the one thing I feel is pressure in my sinuses.  Being type o is that an overly strong immune reaction?

I've tried a netti pot , but it won't flow through although I leave it there, do try and there temporary relief.

Any suggestions for relief of the pressure and healing the sinus infection?  I try to avoid medications, but don't mind trying them if needed.  I'm missing a flight tomorrow because of this and wanted to throw the question out there.

Dr. D's Collinsonia Plus works for me along with the Quercetin Plus.

What works best for me is colloidal silver used as nose drops.  If I do it before bed, I wake up with
clearer breathing. I'm quite sure it acts upon everything from bacteria to fungal issues....but neti pots make me worse and give me a sinus headache......This is the only solution I've found that was permanent.  Collinsonia root is helpful but on its own wasn't a permanent solution.  The colloidal silver
was.  I bought the big bottle of Soverign silver (brand) and used a different dropper than the one that
came with the bottle (didn't want to put something in my nose then back into the bottle) I take a
small amount of the silver, pour it into a small paper cup and that way, I'm not contaminating the whole bottle.  I also use a glass eye dropper so I can sterilize it in a pot of boiling water between uses (remove the stopper)

You need to find the route cause and change that. it will come to too much sugar of some sort, alcohol, wheat, flour. probably from a grain in other words lowering the immune and or getting too cold at some stage. That's the only time I get a problem with a cold or sniffles now. which is rarer than rare. and clears up very quickly.

I used to get all these problems and now I get none. I was on antibiotics every month for most of my life. and now I have't had any since being on this diet. it was one of the biggest and fastest changes that happened. helped no doubt by not using dairy and wheat.

I'm still sorting other things but that one got cured. so my question would be what avoids do you eat or how often do you not treat the cold weather or wind with the utmost respect?

At the first sign of a cold or nose problem we generally spray hydrogen peroxide in our mouth 3% and rinse, one drop in each ear too and some tea tree oil around the nose entrance (helps with dry chapped skin but be warned it stings.

My first surgery was 19 months ago.
Have you heard of treating this with oil of oregano?

Angelica archangelica root , beware not seeds, did the trick to avoid polyps and to shrink them to many people,  My mom was 42 and 70 years old. She alas was not on BTD and drank cow milk.
I bet you have yet to feel the results of your Swami, I cannot believe polyps have so quickly came back !

Are you sure it's a virus and not an auto-immune reaction? For a virus you want to ramp up the immune system; for auto-immune problems you want to calm down and balance the immune system. Some of the supplements that help with viruses can cause problems with auto-immune issues. Take a look at what supplements you've been taking and see if maybe that's part of the problem.
