?
You mean re: the amazingness of the essay?
The importance this might bear in the life of a nonnie?
The ahead-ness of the curve of this websites' owner?
You mean like that?

The thread title is pretty pithy, methinks.
Hope you appreciate alliteration, luv.

Well, let's see.
During the past week someone resurrected the 2009 thread entitled, "Will Secretor Status affect cancer blood tests?"
And one Forum member who had missed that thread in 2009 responded a few days ago to Dr. D'Adamo's post on it

Quoted from Dr. D
It affects CA19-9, CA 27-29, Sialyl Lewis X and DUPAN.

These tumor markers will be missing or artificially lower in non-secretors.

as follows:
"That is scary, and also really good to know.  Thank you!"
Note that Dr. D'Adamo himself posted on the thread, many years after publishing the paper I'm sharing. He did NOT at all consider it Old News. Nor has it, to my knowledge, been superseded; I of course invite folks here to prove it wrong, too.

Seeing as this 2017 quoting nonnie  - and others in 2009 - considered the information detailed in the paper "really good to know" if not vital information, I did my usual source-mining-and-sharing thing, though I have no horse in the race.
Some appreciate it. Most never saw this and didn't know it. For those:
You're Welcome. Anytime.

If you, however, find this piece of good D'Adamo research passé, feel free to ignore it, and I truly will not (and do not) mind in the least.
Carry On, gang.

It's DEFINITELY still valid and relevant information. But some of us are already aware of it.

I never had an ear or sinus infection in my life so far (knock on wood), but my sister who is A- had some and had her tonsils and adenoids removed, whereas i kept these.

I have had a few bouts of on the couch for a week kind of flus, but not since high school.  I have also been around people with bad flus for extended periods in close proximity and never got the flu, prob. because i wasn't worried about it.  I had strep once really bad when i lived in NY when i was 8 too.  I tend to get them fast and hard.  Chicken pox also.

Not sure if i ever had an ulcer, prob not, it was more likely a fungal/candida thing in my stomach causing the "acid reflux".  My gums used to bleed every time i brushed, but never do now for over a year!  My throat and mouth seems to take on the inflammation and prob protects my stomach area.

Case in point, and one that Dr. D brings up again and again and again, is that his work isn't a fad - ER4YT is celebrating its 20-year anniversary.
His writings/archives - and the "ancient" blogs of some of us - have been republished/ cited again and again on the Forum by Lola, so of course she does not consider this terrific paper out of date.

I had never seen it before. As soon as I read it, I posted it here.
Not everyone is as quick to share, but it's the kind of thing, IMO, for which the dadamo Forum exists, and thus I've always used it.

Got it in under the wire, then.
End Of An Era.

Good to know, and Thanks!

I was particularly thrilled to have arrived at Dr. D'Adamo's paper via PubMed/ncbi during an investigation on secretor status. Two salient points to note:
(1) That Dr. D'Adamo's work is indeed situated in the scientific literature, to be accessed other than by his cheerleaders, and
(2) That important clinical medical information for Non-Secretors is linked on the "Nonnie Clubhouse" thread at dadamo.com for those seeking such (not only for those surfing Dr. D'Adamo's science papers for whatever pops out of personal interest).

The WAY people research, and what they're motivated to specifically seek, is usually greatly determinative of what they will find.
I'm all for NOT hiding his work away where most won't ever find it.

Nor will I apologize for that stance.

Hi, TGC.
To clarify, this information exists within at least one other sticky thread in your clubhouse here at dadamo, but I felt it needed to be easily found without exhaustive/ pointed searching. I wanted to make it likely to be "happed upon" while a nonnie (or interested non-nonnie such as myself   ) would simply browse around the board...
...if the board remains up for searching or browsing, that is.

Technically speaking, no need to "pin" the post (whatever that means), since all you really need to bring to another board is...the LINK to Dr. D's paper.

Or the link C_Sharp supplies, above, to Dr. D'Adamo's file of scientific papers, on this site.
