Winter: Hidden potential.

Hello, I'm new here and hope to connect with other double Lewis negative non secretors to share information and insights. This has been a long, tough road at times to manage my health and live life fully when it was always evident to me from a very young age that something just wasn't quite right with me.  Now, at age 49, I've discovered an important piece of my unique puzzle. I have been super health conscious (out of absolute necessity, right other Nonnie's?) and quite healthy most my life but was forced to look harder than ever at my health this year.  I worked in a moldy sick building for a year and a half. During that time I had to go on longterm antibiotics for chronic e colli UTI ( a B non secretor specialty, I now understand😕).   My already defenseless system became even more defenseless being on antibiotics in this moldy environment. I had no idea about the mold or its potential effects nor did I know my secretor status until very recently. I just knew that for some reason I was declining in health and aging rapidly, and finally had to heed the little voice inside me saying that I could not continue to go to work where I was.   It was so hard as a single parent to leave a job I love and made a nice six figure income doing for reasons that weren't even clear to me. I'm now on a leave of absence for over a month.  I originally cited depression as the reason for my leave but now, after blood tests revealing double Lewis negative non secretor status along with hypothyroid, low vitamin D (23), almost no white blood cell activity, low ferritin, high cholesterol, etcetera, I don't think depression is the root of my problems anymore. I just want to bounce back and feel my best. I'm trying to follow the BTD. I use the phone app for my type which is very handy. I think more work needs to be done regarding our double Lewis negative non secretor subset, however.  (Since we're only 1-4% of the population I can see why we're not a huge priority for epidemiological studies!)  So, since I can't find too much specific to us, I want to reach out to any others to swap commonalities and cures. I believe that we are very sensitive and insightful. I will greatly appreciate hearing from any and all. Aloha and thank you so much for sharing !💜

Its typical to be B+ and a LDN. My hubby is both also. He is 50 and has always been a strict eater. Mostly fish, steamed veggies and veggie curries. He's always been extremely good about keeping things deep cleaned and cleaned up but actually not at all obsessive. He has an little alcohol a couple times a week. I believe his lifestyle has given him an edge with being a LDN even before he new he was. He DID have diabetes and the other LDN issues but we fixed those by taking the carbs way down to just 1 slice of Ezekiel bread a day with lunch. If it helps he eats like 1 hard boiled egg and plain oatmeal in the morning with plain coffee or black tea, and a home made salad of fresh organic mixed greens with onion celery olive oil salt and red wine vinegar and a palm full of nuts or a pip of dark chocolate for snack, also the slice of bread with almond butter. He has 1/2 piece of fruit and coffee or tea in the afternoon and for dinners I make split pea curry from scratch or salmon, sardines or  some other fish, sometimes as a curry type thing. Once in a while he eats lamb curry or chops. I use all organic and really fresh and chop all the ginger, garlic, onion, green pepper, fresh. once in a while ill make a gluten free treat like pancakes with olive oil, almond milk, He no longer has stomach issues and has been taken off all of his medications. And of course he never touches chicken.

Hello, all LEWIS Doublenegs and non-sec.   Here's a question, I understand for Lewis neg, motherwort can be taken to compensate such that the individual can operate as a secretor, what can the double negs do?   Anything?    Many thx, CB

I'm not sure I understand your question. With the knowledge that I'm a nonnie, I can eat the right foods for my body and minimize health risks. I'm not aware of any herb that would enable me to eat "nonnie avoids, secretor neutral" foods without consequences.

I am speaking to the Lewis doublenegative aspect of blood groups, since the double negative attribute confers a super non-secretor status thus the statement regarding the herb motherwort which when taken helps the Lewis negative but not the double negative.   Any other research out there on the LDN status and how to assist?   Many thx.   CB
