sorry to repeat this question - I know I'vve asked it before in regard too fruit, but i've read that thread and some other questions popped into my mind.

Having bad digestive problems at the moment, as I've mentioned before, with constipation issues and very slow transit.  I'm very limited in the foods I am able to tolerate, and which comply with the BTD.

I have been eating, for lunch, sweet potato with some canned skipjack tuna in spring water crumbled into it.  Although both foods are BTD compliant, I am wondering if it is a bad combination - with the food combining principles in mind.
Can someone throw any light or ideas at this theory - I've eaten this combination in the past with no ill effecgts, but now it seems to make my pulse race after.

Is it perhaps just the general state of my digestion?

thanks for any input.

I had 17 years of constipation on BTD because I inadvertently did not eat enough OIL.
On some impulse for another approach I started to take one table spoon of extra light Olive Oil (later one teaspoon) in between food.. about one hour away from both sides.. the idea was to stop me from being hungry.. IT works and actually you just reminded me to start doing that again! THANKS..

When I did that the first time I had no idea nor any expectations that it would fix my constipation issue took about two weeks - sort of never to return again.. I also had a dollar size pain on my left side under my last rib all my life which went away, also not to return... I am grateful for both these unexpected results..

I think because we Os get enough 'fatty' foods we tend to forget about healthy oil.  Please try this as I had done many other things and nothing worked for more than a week, until I did the oil.

I do not know if you can 'combine' this 'oil solution' with foods, I wanted to stop hunger and for that it had to be separated away from food.  I have not taken oil lately, as a result I am out of control eating and unhappy, I am so glad you reminded me.  -- it will save me from my own bad behavior!!

What's your magnesium intake like? Slow digestion can be from inadequate magnesium.

I agree about adding more oil to the diet. My bt B doesn't do well with soy, corn sunflower, etc. and I discovered a Mayo made with grape seed oil. I used to make my own mayo with extra virgin olive oil.. Using this mixed with a spoon full of diatomaceous earth ( the good dirt ) on my salads once a week and transit times are much improved. I love sweet potatoes but find if I mix them with anything but butter I have problems ( loved to make sweet potato pie ) Seems if I eat them separately it's OK.

Question popped into my mind while posting. Does adding milk to green tea negate the benefits. Thank you for your response

This depends on the rating of milk for the individual...  For a type B secretor following the blood type diet, it would still be beneficial.  Most others would now have a Neutral or Avoid rating.
