I'm sure there is a thread out there - but I didn't have luck searching. I used the SEARCH at the top.

I'm having trouble thinking of beneficial snacks to eat at work. Here is what I've had:

Tuna Pack in olive oil
Dried Fruit - not often because I don't like fruit very much
Pine Nut Hummus and rice crackers or carrots
Dried Seaweed (in canola oil)
Sweet Potato Chips
Occasionally almonds and walnut mix
Mozzarella with turkey pepperoni
Banana
Jerky


Husband = O which = easier meal planning!!!

Don't forget Dr. D's Unibars.  They come in two flavors and one half of a bar makes a nice snack........a whole bar a small meal.  I am retired  don't have to worry about work snacks, but still I always carry at least one bar in my purse for emergencies.  

I would try to avoid canola oil in any way, shape or form. Such an extraordinarily high percent is GMO that I don't feel you can trust it even if it says organic.  


6 years on ER BTD, went from sick and dying to healthier And 30 pounds slimmer.  

Dec 2013: Started Swami Xpress - I'm 48% Explorer with hybridized Explorer/BTD list. A new adventure for this old lady!  -- LOST 5 more pounds on SWAMI!

Dark Chocolate is fine, provided it's good quality.  You might be able to score chocolate covered almonds, blueberries, ginger, etc. at your health food store.  Check the bulk section.

yes, Unibars are great, and there are pemmican-like bars from Tanka and Epicbar

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

My go to snacks are nuts.  They are very filling.  Sometimes I buy or make trail mix to mix things up.

I like fruit as a snack too, as it can be difficult to get in the serving sizes of veggies/fruit.  Love, love, love berries.

Also, hummus and carrot sticks is always good.

Almond butter on rice cakes is another.  I ate a lot of coconut butter on rice cakes for a while but had my fill after a while.

Trail mix with walnuts, pecans, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries, raisins, figs, gojiberries...

I soak all nuts over night with sea salt to get rid of the phytic acid, then dry in a dehydrator for 6-8 hours. Mix all the nuts with the dried fruit. Makes a great nutrient-packed snack.

My very best snack is a hard boiled egg.  I know that doesn't sound sexy or yummy, but when I'm in a crunch and hungry, an egg really satisfies and stops me wanting to eat more.

me too, and the protein in eggs will hold me better than any carb, and I love nuts, which mean's once I start I can't stop.  

I like the salmon in the packs, they don't have added oil, and therefore much less messing in office or car.

But these look pretty good - plenty of diversity, plenty of room for variety; are they not satisfactory anymore?
