i don't see on swami's list soy yogurt.
soy cheese is a beneficial one.
yogurt is an avoid.
so, do i consider soy cheese as yogurt as well?
is that "yogurt" related to cow's milk or what?

there is any infusion than chamomile tea.
what about sage or thyme or artichoke?

If SWAMI doesn't list a food, you can consider it neutral.  BUT if there are toxic ingredients in any
product, eat that product as randomly as you would any toxic food.  Most commercial soy yogurt
would likely contain gums and ingredients most of us shouldn't consume.

Typebase lists "yogurt" as dairy yogurt....so judging by that, I'm going to assume that any non dairy yogurt that contains ingredients that are beneficial for you, would be okay to consume.  LIke if you
made your own soy yogurt from approved soy milk ingredients, it should be fine.

Soy cheese, if listed as beneficial for you, treat it as such.  It's not the same as soy yogurt.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking about chamomile tea as far as "infusion" is concerned.  Do
you want to know if you can buy chamomile in any other form other than tea?  Or do you want
to know if it's okay to consume it?  It is sold in tinctures which would be concentrates of chamomile...usually alcohol is added.  You might want to google to see what is available.....but
if you want to know if you can consume a tincture, again, only if all ingredients are okay for you.

What exactly would you like to know about the herbs sage, thyme and artichoke?  If any of these
herbs are listed as beneficial or neutral in any form, they should be okay to consume....or are you
looking for infusions of these herbs?  Again, you might want to google if this question has to do
with locating products rather than whether you can consume these products.

Just to reiterate.....you're allowed to consider any food, or herb neutral in any form, if it's not listed on your SWAMI

the soy yogurt is made only with soy so i'm quite sure about it and i'm happy that i can consume it thanks to your suggestion even though it is not in any swami's list food.

now: about chamomile my question was concerning the infusion.

usually at bedtime i make an infusion with dried sage leaves or thyme or chamomile flowers, sometimes even fennel seeds: no alcohol, no sugar whatsoever.

so: thyme, fennel and  sage are among "Spices" list as beneficial----they are not even listed in "Beverages" list.......!?! i was wondering why seeing that chamomile tea is there (and it is among the neutral ones, as carrot juice, milk soy ..etc).

so, at the end of the day , may i consume those spices (beneficial or neutral ones) as infusion even though they are in another list than "beverages"?

You're very welcome....I think I now understand what you're asking about your infusion....If your herbs and spices are not listed as beverages, can you use any of them to make a beverage?.....YES if they're beneficial or neutral..

As to why these herbs and spices are not listed as beverages, I think because if you take this down to the bare basics, they are first botanical plants.....and in their raw state would have many
applications....of which an infusion might just be one option.   These very same herbs and spices
are used in cooking, baking and therefore it's not designated on SWAMI what their application is.
YOu are free to choose how to use any of your beneficial and neutral herbs and spices....whether
raw, dried, infused, juiced....any way you'd like to use your foods and herbs/spices is your choice.

The reason chamomile and others are listed as teas is because in America,generally our food stores package
a lot of herbal teas in bags, sell them in a box and call them tea. Loose tea is also sold but chamomile to me
is a tea not an herb....

We can buy loose chamomile tea easily here....but I'm not sure I have seen chamomile in the spice aisles of
stores.  IT's simply the way products are sold and given Dr. D created SWAMI, everything is based on how
food is generally available internationally..  And yet, there are many foods on my SWAMI that are known worldwide but not generally found in American food stores.  It might just be a cultural difference in our food store displays rather than a right or wrong way to list any ingredient or food.

Glad to know your soy yogurt is just plain soy....that's fine!

Yes.  I see no difference between cooking the spices in a food dish and heating them in water for a tea...

I would still follow portion size / frequency for them so I didn't overdo it.

You'd want to convert to metric ......so for Anerica, 4 oz is 1/2 cup is 120 ml

Our coffee cups and tea cups wouldn't be the same as our measuring cups.
