My SWAMI says that chicken is a neutral and that beef is a beneficial. I want to start enjoying bone broth, but i can't get grass fed beef bones on a regular basis. I can get organic chicken bones. So thoughts? I'm an O+ gatherer according to SWAMI

There would be nothing wrong with making organic chicken bone stock.

Either one would be fine. If you feel more comfortable using the organic bones, then go with chicken. Or buy both kinds of bones and alternate the two.

Since "bone broth" only shows up on the "red meat" section, and not in the "poultry" section, I assume that any compliant bone broth is equivalent in terms of rating. So I'd assume that, if "bone broth" is beneficial, its remains beneficial whether I use neutral, beneficial, or diamond bones. I would not make that assumption about avoid or black dot bones.

I would think the chicken bones would be better actually as they are softer and more porous than the beef bones. I also have problems with a regular beef bone supply and now normally use Chicken and , occasionally, Turkey.

Turkey bones make really super delicious broth!  I cook an organic turkey about every 6 months for the two of us and treasure the quarts of broth I put in the freezer almost more than the packages of the roasted meat I freeze.

Even though I only eat red meat from grass-fed animals and make my stock from those bones, I wouldn't hesitate to use the bones from organically raised grain-fed animals if that was my best option.

However, I don't think bones from animals that have been given antibiotics and growth hormones are a good idea.
