Hi,
I am a Hunter and so should not eat yogurt. But does it mean ALL types of yogurt? Are sheep and goat natural yogurts to be avoided as well?

Yes. All yogurts share the same rating, no matter which mammal's milk they start from.

For somebody who's allowed yogurt, but does poorly on cow's milk products, trying out sheep or goat yogurt is a good idea.

For somebody who's not allowed yogurt, using sheep or  goat yogurt is not a good idea, even if they find they tolerate it better. Some individuals may choose to include these  foods in their diet, but they're deviating from Dr D's recommendations when they do so.

You say you are a Hunter, are you a Hunter by the GT book or by SWAMI?

If latter, see if you are allowed Indian buffalo (a.k.a. waterbuffalo) milk (in my practice it's a bene or neutral for quite a number of hunters). If so, I'd say you can have yoghurt made with waterbuffalo milk.

As a hunter, I feel less troubled with goat/sheep yoghurt compared to cow's yoghurt, but I have no issues with waterbuffalo yoghurt (waterbuffalo milk is beneficial for me)

Hope this helps

cheers,
Yaman

I make yogurt from rice (milk) and polyflora O. It does not have the texture of store bought yogurt and I have no idea how well 'cultured' it is (probiotic content).

Whether that would satisfy your needs or desires is another question.

I'm a Hunter by both - the GT book and SWAMI. Yes, I am allowed Indian buffalo milk (neutral) and I was sure I wouldn't be able to buy it in the UK but I've just searched the internet and it seems one store actually sells it!!! I'm going there first thing tomorrow morning))))
Thanks for all the replies
