For those who wonder what I do in my spare time.. I write bioinformatics software. I've just finishing a new program, Sky Saw, which allows us at the COEGM to develop network mapping of our patient interactions. This online help guide gives some idea of what it does..

Next on the agenda.. the release of the new SWAMI XP.

Your probably having so much fun with your bioinformatics software, that perhaps it is more exciting than the new SWAMI XP. But...I know many of us are quite looking forward to the new SWAMI. And...am I appreciative that your brain works the way it does, to be able to do the things that you do. I know you are a Warrior Geno Type but there must be a lot of Explorer in there as well, as you are way ahead of your time...it is always refreshing to come across others who think outside of the box. I've learnt to ignore those sideways looks of those who do no appreciate different ways to view things.

But I for one, will stick to my paints and canvases in my spare time!

The two versions of SWAMI are Xpress and Genotype.  The Xpress version is the one we can purchase from DPN and use at home.  The short version of this name is XP.

SWAMI XP2 is the next release. It is my understanding that most of the enhancements are done. It is hoped that it will be released shortly.

You are more optimistic for a quick release than I am.

I am not expecting a substantial expansion in the foods included.

This is what I am expecting:

    >Multi-Linked Accounts so one cross reference your SWAMI diet with your family member’s profiles! Allows for multiple diet reports to be linked and cross referenced for easier meal planning!
    >Fingerprint image display.
    >Lifestyle preferences (Kosher, Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian, and more).
    >Enhanced support for a variety of health conditions – joints, allergies, hormones, metabolism, etc.
    >Nutrient filter allows you to select specific nutrients to emphasize or de-emphasize in your diet – restrict gluten, enhance Omega-3 oils ...
    >Meal Planner updated to use A ‘drag and drop’ interface.
    >On-line product delivery - no longer have to wait for product to be mailed

Not all of these features may make the actual release, but I am expecting that current SWAMI XP users will be upgraded for free!
