SWAMI tells you what to eat and how much, and the "Geno Harmonic Foods" section offers suggestions on foods combinations to try.  However, it does not tell you what food combinations to avoid, a "Geno Dissonant Foods" section.

The new SWAMI is rumored to support a Kosher option.  Can it also include a Food Combining option as well?

I am aware that Dr. D does not believe food combining offers much more benefit over BTD.  But I gather he also does not believe in following Kosher practices, either.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

S peg, I think to know about foods which are casher ond those who are not depends to our religious believe system... and is not ok to be implemented for everybody.. I guess...
would want to see the *hallal-options* ...

then if that is from interest for you... look into the book (even BTD is implemented here as well) of diana Kader or by Donna Gates: the body ecology diet*

I observed more and more compulsivity at this very aspect in + - all diets following a certain aim... this leads to insecurities for my opinion....

amazingly did I got + - the same recommendations in swami as in the btd-foodlists...
I'm not unhappy about this... do I follow the mediteranian diet since birth

The professional version of SWAMI already has the "kosher" option, and has for years. It's checked on my SWAMI.

I honestly can't see what good it's done. I think it may be only there for statistical purposes (for Dr D to see how many kosher consumers are using SWAMI) rather than to actually affect the food choices.

There are non-kosher meats, birds, and fishes listed on my SWAMI, and many of them are in the "neutral" or "beneficial" column. I even have a "diamond" non-kosher bird! I would have expected SWAMI to put them all in the "avoid" category (since I'm avoiding them for religious reasons) no matter how healthy they are for my body.

I did notice that there are no meat and dairy combinations on my "genoharmonic foods" list, but that may be coincidental.

Some people do find "food combining" useful, if they have obvious GI problems. Many of these only need to use that technique for a short time; after a period of healing (which can  take anywhere from a few weeks to a few years) the food combing may no longer be necessary.

Thank you for your book recommendation, Amazone.

Thank you ruthiegirl for your perspective on the kosher option in SWAMI pro.

I do think I benefit from food combining, especially keeping grains separate from meat.  But I suppose I don't really need SWAMI to tell me that!

Oh good, Lola - because I knew one girl that used to come on here and she is an anorexic nutritionist always complaining to me about "diets" and absolutely refuses to eat meat as an O, but will eat fish. I'll mention it to her. Anoriexics have tremendously strong will   that is usually turned the wrong way > against themselves <

Neutral foods should not do any harm.  They are food value and aren't necessarily healing.

General guidelines are to have at least 50% Beneficial or Superfoods, but more if you are recovering from an illness or trauma...  Without cracking the book, I think Rh(-) and/or Non-Secretors should have a little higher Beneficial foods content than Rh(+) Seccretors...

Hi Sunnyside!

I love cherries and cherry juice, though they are black dots for me.
My husband is an O hunter and eats cherries and drinks cherry juice for his arthritis.
